Seit 1908 stellt eine Firma in Biel
Haushaltswaren, im speziellen auch
Bett- und Trinkflaschen, aus Aluminium her. Knapp ein Jahrzehnt später
ändern sich Name und Produktionsort, die SIGG AG Aluminiumwarenfabrik ist in Frauenfeld angekommen.
1958 umfasst das gesamte Sortiment
der SIGG-Produkte einige Tausend
Haushalts- und Sportartikel.
Die ersten einfarbigen Trinkflaschen
gibt es seit 1980. Ein Jahrzehnt später
erscheint die Sportsbottle, 1992
folgen mehrfarbige Modelle mit dem
beliebten Sportverschluss.
1993 werden die SIGG-Bottles in die
Kollektion des Museum of Modern Art
(MoMA) in New York aufgenommen –
SIGG wird zum Design-Klassiker.
Durch die Eröffnung einer neuen Produktionsanlage mit vollautomatischem
Siebdruck ist 1995 ein Meilenstein in
der Geschichte.
2012 kann SIGG auf eine 104-jährige
Geschichte zurückblicken, die den Weg
für eine vielversprechende Zukunft ebnet.
Funktion, Fun, Fashion und Nachhaltigkeit gehen Hand in Hand.
In 1908 a company in Biel begins to
manufacture household goods from
aluminum, including bed and drinking
bottles. Less than a decade later in
1917, the company gets a new home
and name - the SIGG AG Aluminiumwarenfabrik, Frauenfeld.
By 1958 the SIGG product family
embraces several thousand household
items and pieces of sports equipment.
1980 sees the first SIGG single-color
coated drinking bottles. A decade
later comes the Sportsbottle – hot
on its heels in 1992 are multi-colored
models with drinking caps.
In 1993 SIGG proves it has mastered
the art of drinking through entry into
the collection of the Museum of
Modern Art, New York.
A new production facility with a
fully automatic bottle line for color
screen-printing makes 1995 a year to
remember.
2012 marks 104 years of SIGG history,
paving the way to a bright future, where
function, fun, fashion and ecology go
hand-in-hand.

SIGG bottles come with a choice of two
openings. There is the classic mouth
shape or the wide mouth opening
allowing ice cubes to sneak in easily and
particularly easy cleaning. Different tops
add to the customization possibilities.
These include the classic screw top,
the super-practical New Active Top for
speedy thirst quenching on the go, the
tried and tested Active Bottle Top, as well
as the nostalgic Retro Top. Kids get their
own dedicated Kids Bottle Top. Color is
also key when it comes to individualization and the tops’ spectrum of options can
