service gives everybody a great range of options for experiencing the beauty and tranquillity of
the National Park.

West Loch Lomond By Bike
The scenic West Loch Lomond cycle route runs from Balloch in the island-studded
south of Loch Lomond to Tarbet in the fjord-like north. This flat cycle route is 14.5 miles
long, and is mostly off-road. The 4Bs bus with bike trailer means you can take the bus
to Tarbet, then cycle the return route one-way, giving you more time to have a relaxing
day out, take in the amazing scenery, and spend some time in the beautiful conservation
village of Luss.

Ben Lomond Hike
Take the 4Bs bus to Inverbeg and pick up the ferry to the hamlet of Rowardennan where
you can access the hike up Ben Lomond - Scotland's most southerly Munro, reaching a
height of 3,194 feet. Enjoy spectacular views from the summit of this famous mountain
which towers over the eastern shore of Loch Lomond. This is a strenuous hike, and
should be undertaken only with a map and appropriate hillwalking equipment. You will
have plenty of time to enjoy your walk and have a refreshing drink in the local hotel
before your return boat and bus trip.

West Highland Way Rambler
Combine a cruise on Loch Lomond with a walk along one of the most scenic stretches
of the West Highland Way from Rowardennan to Inversnaid. Take the 4 Bs bus to
Tarbet, where a ferry will take you on a 45 minute cruise to Rowardennan on the eastern
shore. Enjoy a one-way leisurely 8 mile walk enjoying stunning views across the Loch
to the Arrochar Alps and north to Ben Lui. Re-embark at Inversnaid for the half hour
cruise back to Tarbet.

Your 4Bs bus drops you in the village of Tarbet, where you can cruise the stunning fjordlike north end of Loch Lomond to the peaceful haven of Inversnaid. Once at Inversnaid
you can enjoy one of the numerous short walks in the area - visit Rob Roy's cave, the
Arklet waterfalls, or stroll around the RSPB nature reserve. Or why not take your bike
on the boat, and cycle up the hill to the spectacular surroundings of Loch Arklet and
Loch Katrine - 3 Lochs in one day!

Helensburgh by bike
Why not hire a bike and explore the Arden/Helensburgh cycle route, enjoying some
delightful safe cycling in historic and peaceful Glen Fruin before wheeling over to see
Rennie Mackintosh’s architectural masterpiece, ‘The Hill House,’ in Helensburgh (Open
from 13:30).

Luss village walks
Hop on the 4Bs bus to the pretty conservation village of Luss. You then have a choice
of walks. First option is a short and easy walk around the village of Luss and the
surrounding countryside. Visit the church with the Viking grave, and see the remnants
of the slate quarry on which Luss was founded. Or, if you're an experienced hillwalker,
why not tackle the Luss hills, a fantastic 5 hour circular walk affording stunning views
of Loch Lomond and the islands, and offering superb vistas towards the Cobbler and
the Arrochar Alps.

Balloch Castle Country Park
A short 10 minute walk from Balloch Train station takes you to the beautiful
surroundings of Balloch Castle Country Park. A one hour walk will allow you to
appreciate the best of what the park has to offer, and there's even a play park for the
kids! Why not walk back through Balloch village and stop at one of the cafes or bars for
some food or refreshments?
