Entstanden vor rund 400 Millionen Jahren im devonischen Zeitalter. Das aus Granit bestehende Urgestein wurde durch Witterungseinflüsse abgetragen. Der so entstandene Tonschlamm verfestigte sich zu Tongestein, welches sich unter dem gewaltigen tektonischen Druck späterer Erdbewegungen faltete. Die Struktur und Feinstreifung sowie Einschlüsse und Adern zeugen von der Echtheit dieses Natursteins. Natural slate – the fascination of a unique rock. Formed more than 400 million years ago in the Devonian period when primitive granite rock was eroded by the climatic influences. The clay sludge that was created hardened into argillaceous rock, which folded under the tremendous tectonic pressure of subsequent earth movements. The structure and fine striation as well as intercalations and veins are evidence of the genuineness of this natural rock.
