Roze Room Hospice of the Valley
In honor of my grandmother, Roza
Litvak, I founded Roze Room Hospice in
1997. This was a culmination of my
dream – creating a hospice that is about
living life to the fullest, even though days
are limited. Roze Room Hospice of the
Valley is the continuation of that dream
and my desire to have hospice care reach
more individuals and their families. Our
goal is to attend to our patients' physical,
social and spiritual needs as well as to
prepare family members for the
patient's passage.

Roze Room Hospice of The Valley
When my grandmother died in an
impersonal hospital room after a long
illness, I vowed to help terminally ill
people die in the comfort and security of
familiar surroundings.

Tradition and
Alternatives
During a life-limiting illness, one yearns to
understand the deeper meaning of life and
death. Illness, for many, can be a deeply
moving spiritual event even though we
are conditioned to focus only on the part
of the body that is ailing or failing.
Roze Room Hospice of the Valley is a
traditional hospice in the sense that we
offer medical support for pain control and
symptom management. However, we also
offer soul support for the spiritual journey.
With wisdom, warmth and compassion
the Roze Room Hospice of the Valley team
provides our patients and their caregivers
the tools to help them through this
challenging transition.
It is our goal to help the patient experience
a richer, fuller, more meaningful life in the
time that is left. We use various
approaches for pain and symptom control,
including medications, visualization,
affirmation and love, all according to the
wishes of the patient and family.
You cannot control the length of
your life, but you can control its
breadth, depth and its height.
The Team
The Roze Room Hospice of the Valley team
is especially loving because of its roots in
family caring and concern for a
comfortable “home” atmosphere at the
time of death. Hospice services are
provided to patients at any location they
call home, whether it be in the patient’s
actual home, nursing facility or at any
other place of residence.
Our team is a close-knit group of caring
professionals consisting of:
♥ Physicians
♥ Social Workers
♥ Nurses
♥ Spiritual Counselors
♥ Dietitians
♥ Specialized Therapists
♥ Volunteers
♥ Home Health Aides
The founder of Roze Room Hospice of the
Valley and her commitment to create a
team of professionals with a hospice heart
is the basis for all care provided.
For The Patient,
For The Family
Roze Room Hospice of the Valley considers
the patient and family as the unit of care
and therefore all are included in the
decision-making process. Upon the death
of a loved one, we offer and encourage
families to participate in our bereavement
program. It is our belief that grief is a
natural process that enables us to heal. We
will continue to support you in your time
of healing.
