Do you need a car – for example as a second car at home
now and again, or for use at your destination after a train
journey? If so, Deutsche Bahn Carsharing is the ideal
option for you, your budget and the environment. Discover
just how much you can save with Carsharing when you no
longer have to bear the fixed costs of a car of your own.
You only pay when you really need the car. You can book
a vehicle conveniently and free of charge through the
Internet or by phone, no matter whether you plan well in
advance or decide spontaneously, for just a few hours or
for several days.

Deutsche Bahn Carsharing
couldn’t be easier:
1. Booking: All you need is your customer
number and password to book the car you
want conveniently and free of charge at
www.dbcarsharing.de or by calling our 24-hour
service centre on +49 (0) 180 1 28 28 28 (local
call charges apply within Germany).
2. To open the car: Your personal customer card
enables you to open DB Carsharing vehicles
throughout Germany. You can then use the car
you have chosen for the time you have booked.
3. Car key: You will find the key in the glove
compartment or the special safe, which can
also be opened with your customer card.
4. Returning the vehicle: Please return the
vehicle to the point where you collected it.
Replace the key in the section provided and
use your customer card to lock the vehicle.
5. Billing: You will receive the invoice optionally
by e-mail or post approx. 2 weeks after the
journey.
Perfectly simple registration – and off you go:
You can register as a Carsharing customer quickly and
easily on the Internet at www.dbcarsharing.de, at one of
more than 70 DB Travel Centres, at Reiseland – DB Travel
Agencies, at many DB Service Points or at our service
desk in Berlin Hauptbahnhof. Please bring identification,
your driving licence and details of your bank account
with you. We look forward to seeing you.

Step 1: Register online
Step 2: You receive an e-mail with your access data
Step 3: Go to one of the above rental points and present identification and
your driving licence

Petrol charge: fuel incl. unlimited mileage.
The fuel costs are calculated as a flat rate
on the basis of the kilometres you have
driven. Please check the current rates on
the Internet.
Excess: EUR 1,500 in case of damage to
car or third-party insurance claims. This is
reduced to EUR 300 if you book the special
security package for EUR 90 per annum.
Petrol and Cleaning: To pay for petrol and
car wash, please use the tank card which
you will find in the on-board logbook or in
a special section of the glove compartment.
You do not have to pay upfront. The petrol
costs are already included in the flat-rate
petrol charge. The petrol tank has to be at
least 1 ⁄4 full when you return the car.
Airport fee: 25 % in addition to the time rates
Other vehicle classes (cabrios, BMW 7 series ...) available for monthly rental on request.
Hourly, daily and km rates incl. 19 % VAT.
Valid for contracts as from 1 January 2008
