In Second Chance, a person who has just died arrives at a busy train station where people are boarding various
trains. A strange woman sitting behind the Help Desk greets the person, who is played by a guest star. “What
if you could go back to life and right your wrongs?” she asks him.
In each episode audiences follow a character who chooses to go back to life – for a few days only – and
attempts to tear apart the life he’s led and to remake it. Each individual’s story is a compelling tale of lost love,
pain, regret or unrealized dreams. Before returning to earth, each character is assigned a “travel agent” by the
mysterious woman at the Help Desk. This agent is a guide who travels back to earth with the main character to
act as a counselor, life coach and sounding board throughout the do-over. The journey back is never an easy
one – and the outcomes different with each character.
