Motivation
Im letzten Jahr 2014 hatte ich einen Film gesehen. Damals war die Welt wegen dieses Film
unruhig, weil dieser Film der Produkionsfirma “Sony Pictures “ ein Opfer von nordkoreanischen
Cyberterror wurde. Der Film Heißt “ Interview, 2014 ,USA,”. Also habe ich auch das sehr aufmerksam angeschauen als ein Süd Koreaner. Aber der Film war für mich echt schrecklich, sogar
schlecht. Während dem Schauen habe ich das sofort gemerkt, dass es kein Kritik oder etwas
über Nord Korea ist, sondern der Hollywood Komödie nur für die Geld produziert wird. Nord
Korea wurde in diesem Film als nur so einen ganz fiktive böse Land inszeniert. Selbstständlich
ist es wahr, dass Nord Korea nun in der Welt das einzige Land ist, wo es keine Freiheit, Menschrecht, und sogar keinen genug Essen für die Kinder gibt, nur eine komische junge Leader und
die Propaganda für ihn und sein Vater und Großvater. Aber auf anderen Seite ist es auch wahr,
dass Nord Korea ein Land ist, wo jetzt ungefähr 20 Millionen leben und sie haben seine einige
Kultur, Ideologie, Sprache und System .
Und dann einige Zeit später habe ich mich so selbst gefragt und darüber nachgedacht, was ist
Nord Korea für mich. Es sollte mir nicht einfach sein, als ein Süd Koreaner deutlich und klar
darüber zu sagen. Und danach habe ich das gemerkt, dass ich mich auch Nord Korea als ein fiktiver Staat vorgestellt habe. Oder es konnte sein, meiner Ansicht war fiktiverer als die anderer
Ausländer. Weil ich solcher Koreaner bin, der bis 30 Jahre in Süd Korea gelebt hatte und dort
starke propagandamäßige Erziehung und sehr häufige Informationen aus den Medien bekommen hatte. Sogar sollte ich als ein Soldat für 26 Monaten an der Grenze zwischen Südkorea und
Nordkorea diensten und dort manchmal dachte ich Nord Korea als wirklich ein Feind. Also war
mein Bild von Nord Korea auch hoch manipuliert.
Und dann, was ist meine oder unsere Verhältnis oder Wahrnehmung mit(über) Nord Korea?
Also habe ich eine fiktive Person geschafft, die in Nord Korea gewesen war und dort etwas erlebt hatte. Und dann habe ich dafür die Interviewten gesucht und diese Rolle gegeben und dann
mit ihnen einen Interview gemacht. Und sie sollten dann eine fiktive Geschichte selbst erfinden
und das erzählen, als ob sie echt in Nord Korea gewesen wäre. Ich dachte, es ist möglich, wenn
ich mit den Interviewten solche fiktiven Interview machen könnte, könnte ich solche DenkRaum aufbauen, wo wir über unseres Verständnis von Nord Korea nachdenken und nachfragen
könnte, wie es extrem fiktionalisiert ist .
Der für mich vielleicht interessanteste Aspekt dieses Projekts ist, in welchem Ausmaß die Interviewten mehr über sich selbst und ihre eigenen Kontexte preisgeben, statt dass sie in der Lage
sind, objektive Wahrheiten oder präzise Beobachtungen des tatsächlichen Staates Nordkorea
wiederzugeben. Ich glaube, dass die Interviewreihe durch die Tatsache bereichert wird, dass ich
ausschließlich Menschen als Interviewpartner gewählt habe, die als Ausländer in Deutschland
leben und damit bereits aus ihren eingeborenen Kontexten der “Zugehörigkeit” und des “Heimat/ Heims” herausgelöst worden sind.
Für sich betrachtet deutet die Arbeit auf den ersten Blick auf die absolute fiktionalen Vorstellungen, die wir alle teilen, wenn wir unser Hintergrundwissen über das Land Nordkorea
abfragen; doch sie führt darüber hinaus auch vor, auf welche Art und Weise wir generell dazu
tendieren, Geschichten über “Anderssein” und “ferne/fremd Länder” zu erfinden und zu erzählen, während wir die offensichtlichen und subtilen Unterschiede, die Teil der Erfahrung vom
Auswandern aus dem einen in das andere Land sind, verhandeln.
Interview Voraussetzung
1. Um fiktive Geschichte zu schaffen, ist maximal in 20 Minuten den Interviewten zu geben. Ich
habe bevor dem Interview gar nichts von ihre Rolle erzählt und ich dachte, wenn ich ihr mehre
Zeit gebe, könnte sie mehre Info durch den Internet suchen und finden und dann hätten sie das
für ihre Geschichte benutzen.
2. Die Interviewten soll sich selbst über ihre Charakter entscheiden, Zum bei Spiel die Nationalität von der Rolle und seine Sprach und Alt usw. Ich dachte, je fiktiver die Rolle in dieser
Arbeit ist, desto wirklicher meine Absicht ist.
3. Das Aufnehmen ist nur einmal zu machen. Ich wollte das nicht als ein echtes Dokument-film
produzieren, zwar wollte ich nicht echt gutes Spielen von IInterviewten. Da ich zu Publikum das
fiktive Interview zeigen möchte.
Ablauf
An diesem Punkt habe ich schon um die 20 dieser fiktiven Interviews durchgeführt. Diese Arbeit ist ein noch laufendes Projekt und ich beabsichtige im weiteren Verlauf meines Arbeitsprozesses weitere Interviews hinzuzufügen.
Also ist mein Projekt mit diese neue Arbeit von mir, eine Ausstellung zu machen. Dafür ist mein
Entwurf eine Video Installation mit ungefähr 8-10 Chanel Videos, die ohne Kopfhörer mit dem
Untertitel gleichzeitig inszeniert werden sollen. Also ist mein Plan, Sobald ich alle geplanten
Interviews durchgeführt habe, schätze ich, dass ich in etwa sechs weitere Monate benötige, um
die einzelnen Filme miteinander in Beziehung zu setzen und endgültige Entscheidungen bezüglich der Art der Präsentation vor Publikum zu treffen.

Konzept ist eigentlich ganz einfach. Erde von Süden in dem Norden zu
bringen und das da einboden. Ich warte immer noch auf den Antwort der

OK” and I going to take this job and denn my mom was very sad, when I left. It was

Aber das war auch ein Vorteil, weil dardurch ich konnte ganz einfach wegflogen.
Ich bin einfach zum Flughafen gegangen und habe mich einen Ticket besorgt.
Keiner hat mein Pass kontroliert und ich bin rausgekommen aus Nord Korea und
wenn ich nach Brazil geflogen bin und da gab es ganz viele Leute wie ich. aber
komischeweise .......die haben das auch nicht so gut akzeptiert(......)“

„Ich bin am 1982 geboren und ich hatte eine Oma und die war Apothekerin.
Die hat mir immer die Apothekerbücher vorgelesen. Und da gab es eine Stelle,
das kam mir immer ein bisschen wie ein Märchen vor Fabel. Und gab es eine
Stelle, jemand berichtet hatte.
In Nord Korea gibt es eine Planze, Pink-Hellblau über dem Kelch und mit
diesem Planze könnte Mann durch Liebeskummer initiierte Margenschmerz
wieder heilen.
Das war natürlich erst mal ein bisschen abstracht für mich damals zu verstehen, als sie mir das vorgelesen hatte. Ich fand auf jeden Falls immer ziemlich

„I went to North Korea because I wanted to buy a black horse..
I heard that there they were raising a specific mixed race of Iranian horses and
Mongolian horses. So I started preparing the travel and while the legal procedures to get the permit of visa at the country, I was surprised that it wasn’t
difficult at all.( ......)
So the fact is that they insisted a lot to me that I should take a ferry to the
Bahia of Korea. But my grandfather who had worked 20 years at the airport
and he always told me that horses suffer a lot of pain while flying. And well……
a horse in an airplane is the most similar thing to an Unicorn, so the idea of a
horse in a ship was tremendously ridiculous to me(.......)

„Ich habe schon lange Zeit geträumt, nach Pyoung-yang zu fahren und mein Vater war
schon mal da. Aber mehr Details hat mein Vater damals mir nicht erzählt. Er erinnert
sich immer daran, dass die Briefmarke in Pyoung-yang unglaublich schöne ist. Aber
ich möchte nach P.Y nicht nur wegen diesem Briefmarke, sondern ich mehre Grunde
hatte. Zum Beispiel,sagte mein Vater, ist Nord Korea wunderschöne Land ist. (......)
Und viele Leute hatten das Problem mit der Aufenthaltserlaubnis. Ich bin kein Kommunist aber mein Vater ist Kommunist. Deswegen konnte ich die Aufenthaltserlaubnis bekommen. Es war einfacher im vergleichen mit andere. Und ich erinnerte mich
noch an meinen Vaters Wunsch, die schöne Briefmarke zu sammeln (.......)
Jede Leute, die ich dort getroffen habe, tragt die saubere und schöne Kleidung und die

Wie man aus meiner Kostenplanaufstellung herauslesen kann, wird der Großteil der veranschlagten Summe in Wiedergabe- und andere Medientechnik zu investieren sein. Ließe
sich die Technik kostengünstig für die Dauer der gesamten Ausstellung ausleihen, kann
man die Ausgaben selbstverständlich signifikant reduzieren und beispielsweise mehr
Gelder in das Design, den Satz und den Druck des Katalogs investieren.
Terminplanung
Es handelt sich hierbei um ein noch laufendes Projekt, also glaube ich, dass ich noch etwa sechs
Monate benötige, um die Arbeiten in einen ausstellungsreifen Zustand zu bringen. Meine Terminplanung sieht folgendermaßen aus:
• bis Ende August: Ich möchte noch weitere Interviews mit neuen Interviewten durchführen. Die bisherigen Interviewten waren fast durchweg in ihren frühen Zwanzigern bis Mittdreißigern. Ich möchte gerne Menschen verschiedener Generationen mit in die endgültige
Arbeit einbinden.
• Ab September bis Oktober: Postproduktion
Die Postproduktion umfasst Schnitt, Farb- und Tonwertkorrektur, Sound Editing und die
Übersetzung der japanischen, chinesischen, italienischen und spanischen Interviews ins
Deutsche und Englische, um für die bessere Zugänglichkeit der Arbeit Untertitel zu erstellen.
Gleichzeitig mache ich mich auf die Suche nach einem geeigneten Ausstellungsort; ich gehe
hierbei davon aus, dass ich zwar durchaus schnell an geeignete Räumlichkeuten gelangen
könnte, die Ausstellung aber nichtsdestotrotz erst im kommenden Jahr stattfinden sollte.
