Discover the birthplace of the world famous Swiss Army Knife!

The VISITOR CENTER in Brunnen is an attractive information
centre and starting point for an excursion of the Swiss Knife
Valley. Information about the most beautiful sites, exclusive
specialities and the important enterprises in the region of
Schwyz are presented on 365 square meters.
Thanks to a specially designed relief visitors can experience the
canton Schwyz interactively and from a whole new perspective.
Various touristic and commercial enterprises are presented at
the information lounge where regional specialities such as
chocolate, cheese, spirits as well as hiking maps and souvenirs
are also on offer.

At the small house cinema two 10 minute films give an insight
into the Swiss Knife Valley with its attractive destinations as well
as the manufacture of the Victorinox pocket knife.
A visit to the VISITOR CENTER including the Victorinox Brand
Store and Museum takes 1 – 1.5 hours and can easily be
combined with a stroll around Brunnen, a turn on the lake or an
excursion of the region.

Monday until Friday 10 a.m. – 6.30 p.m.
Saturday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Sunday & public holidays 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. (May until Oct.)
Free entrance. To facilitate organisation we would appreciate
groups larger than 15 persons to place a reservation.

Victorinox Museum
A century old tradition and experience are the basis of the Victorinox pocket tools. In 1884, the knife factory was founded by
Karl and Victoria Elsener and the first delivery of soldiers’ knives
was despatched to the Swiss Army in 1891. When Karl Elsener
created the original «Officer’s Knife» in 1897 he could not have
imagine that it would become the symbol of quality, functionality
and the Swiss inventive talent. Today it is internationally protected as the «Swiss Army Knife» and represents the world renowned «Swiss Made» quality label more than any other product.
Discover the fascinating history of the Swiss Army Knife in the
unique Victorinox Museum in Brunnen.

Next to Paris, Tokyo, Shanghai and Hong Kong there is also an
exclusive Victorinox Brand Store in its birthplace, the Swiss
Knife Valley. Apart from the Swiss Army Knives, household and
professional knives the product range also includes watches,
luggage, clothes and perfume.
The VISITOR CENTER including the Victorinox Brand Store &
Museum is located at Bahnhofstrasse 3 in Brunnen (Community Ingenbohl). 100 meters from the ship station, 500 meters
from the train station. Bus Stop Brunnen-See, Nearby parking
available at a charge.
