Was ist Swop-Shop?

Seit 1982 veranstaltet veranstaltet der
Bereich Arbeit mit Kindern im Europäischen
Methodistischen Jugendrat (EMYC) den
Swop-SHop alle drei Jahre. Mitarbeitende
aus der Arbeit mit Kindern aus ganz Europa
treffen sich , um Ideen und Erfahrungen
auszutauschen und mit vielen neuen Ideen
für ihre Arbeit heimzukehren.
„Er ist wahrhaftig auferstanden“ ist das
Thema 2011. Diese gute Nachricht leite uns
in unserer Mission mit und für die Kinder in
unserer Gesellschaft.

Jede und jeder ist eingeladen zwei gute
Ideen aus seiner Arbeit mit Kindern mit zu
bringen. Es kann ein gutes Bastelprojekt
sein oder Ideen für die Arbeit mit Vorschulkindern oder Ideen ältere Kinder in
unseren Gemeinden besser einzubinden.
Außerdem sollen ein Wunsch oder ein
Traum mitgebracht werden, von dem wir
hoffen, dass er Realität in unserer Arbeit
und der Arbeit unserer Kirche werden möge.
Am „Markttag“ sollen all diese Ideen zum
tauschen mit anderen angeboten werden.
So kommst du mit einer Sache hin und
wirst mit vielen abreisen.

Wir werden in Västkustgård zusammen
leben und arbeiten - ein Freizeitgelände der
Methodistischen Kirche in Schweden nahe
Göteborg direkt an der Westküste.
Die meisten Zimmer sind Vierbettzimmer,
aber auch einige Einzelzimmer können
gebucht werden.
Kinder der Familien sind auch
willkommen. Sie werden ein eigenes Programm haben, wenn es nicht möglich ist,
sie ins Gesamtprogramm zu integrieren.
Swop-Shop findet statt vom Abend des
21. April bis zum Mittagessen des 25. April.
Für Leute, die noch ein bisschen in Schwe-
den bleiben wollen, können wir eine Unterkunft arrangieren.
Die Preise: Standartpreis für Erwachsene
€150 und für Kinder ab 6 Jahre € 75;
gestützter Basispreis 80 €; im Einzelzimmer
€ 230.
Anmeldeschluss ist der 31.März 2011. Bitte

What is Swop-Shop?

Since 1982 the Childrenʼs Commission of
the European Methodist Youth Council
(EMYC) has organised a Swop-Shop every
three years. Childrenʼs workers from all over
Europe meet in a different country each
year to share their ideas and experience
and go home inspired with a host of new
ideas to try out.
Our theme for 2011 is ʻHe is risen indeedʼ.
This is the good news that leads us in mission with and for the children in our society.

Every participant will be invited to bring two
good ideas from their work with children. It
could be a craft idea that worked well or
ideas for under-fives or ideas how to engage with older children on the edges of our
congregations.
Everyone will also bring a ʻwishʼ or a ʻdreamʼ
they would love to see become a reality in
the childrenʼs work they do (or that the
church does).
During the ʻmarket dayʼ we will swop these
ideas with each other.
You will come with two and leave with
many.
The cost is: Standard price €150 for
adults and € 75 for children from 6 years
up; Basic price The few single rooms are €
230.
The closing date for applications is 31
March 2011. Please register on the booking

with Gillian about her experiences of SwopShop:

from lots of European countries. We inspired each other - different people from different countries. It was fun - we were given
permission to act like children again.“
Where, When and How much?
We will be living and working on Västkustgård - a Youth Meeting place of the
Methodist church in Sweden near Gothenburg directly beside the west coast beach.
The rooms are mainly four-bedded,
though a few single rooms are available at a
supplement.
Children are welcome and they will have
their own programme when not joining in
with the adults.
Swop-Shop runs from the evening of 21
April until lunch on 25 April. We can arrange
further accommodation if you would like to
stay longer.
