We are very happy to announce you that the 35th Japan
Three-Day March will be held in Higashi-matsuyama on Nov
02, 03, and 04, 2012, as the largest walking event in JAPAN.
We would like to give a hearty welcome to all the friends from
all over the world. Let's enjoy walking together and feel the
color of wind with us!
1. Start & Finish Point : Schoolyard of Matsuyama
Daiichi Elementary School. See directions to the Start
Point.
2. Course : Choose from 5 different courses. All courses
are well marked with colored signs.

3. Pre-Registration : Complete the Application Form
and mail it to TOBU TRAVEL by Oct 03, 2012. You will
then receive a confirmation card with detailed info by
Oct 20. Participants should bring the confirmation card
for check-in on Nov 01, and pay entry fee JPY2,000
in cash. Pre-registration ensures that participants will
receive the awards and walking souvenirs.
4. Registration : Registration will remain open during the
Three-Day March. Please notice that late-registration
do not ensure all participants for receiving awards and
event souvenirs.
5. Check-in : All individual/group participants must checkin on Thu, Nov 01 at the FOREIGN PARTICIPANT'S
REGISTRATION DESK, located at the Start/Finish
Point. The desk is open from 12:00 to 19:00. You will
receive an entree package including: course guide,
map, start card, event program, walking number
(“Zekken”), and event souvenirs.
6. Awards :
−Participants will receive only a Finisher's Pin according
to their number of marches finished.
− First/Second day finishers will receive a
commemorative march certificate.
−International Walkers completing 8 IML chartered
walks will receive the Master Walker Clip.
−IVV participants will receive stamps in both event and
distance booklet.
7. General Information :
−This March is not a competition. Participants should
walk at their speed of choice.
−The organization is does not take responsitilty any
loss or injury.
− Any person in good health condition can participate
in the March. However, the physically handicapped
persons and infants must be accompanied.
−Participants should abide by the walking rules.
−Submission of a medical check is not required. However,
participants are strongly urged to take a medical check.
−The entry fee is non-refundable, regardless of the reason
of cancellation.
−Participants are required to walk with the designated
“Zekken” (a sort of walking number) indicating name
and walking distance.
−There are food & drink, souvenirs, and walking goods
available at Start/Finish Point.
− Participants can use free medical-aid/drink at rest
stations in Start/Finish Point and along the course.
Please, bring your own cup! disposable cups are not
used during the march for environmental protection.
−Flags, banners and accessories are welcome.
−Voluntary interpreters are ready to help you to
communicate with Japanese people. The interpreters wear
a ribbon on the left arm.
March Information
−Participants can change the walking distance every
day. However, IML participants are required to walk at
least 20km per day by IML rules.
−IML participants should receive stamps for IML passports
on the LAST DAY. After completing the march, find the IML
DESK.
−IVV participants should receive stamps for IVV booklets
EVERY DAY after completing walk.
Please find the IVV & JVA DESK near by the finish
gate.
From Narita Airport to Ikebukuro
䃂㩷By train: choose from the followings㩷䃂
1. JR “NARITA EXPRESS” the following trains go
straight to Ikebukuro Station:08:13, 09:15, 10:15,
10:45, 11:15, 11:45, 13:15, 14:15, 17:16, 18:15,
18:48, 19:15, 21:44 (80min, JPY3,110)
2. Some “JR NARITA EXPRESS” (Depart at 07:44,
09:15, 09:45, 12:16, 13:45, 14:45, 15:15, 15:45,
16:15, 16:45, 19:45, 20:44) dose not go straight to
Ikebukuro. In this case, it goes to Shinjuku Station
(75min, JPY3,110)-change to JR Yamanote Line
from Shinjuku Station to Ikebukuro Station (5min,
JPY150)
3. Keisei Express “SKYLINER” (Depart at every 30-40
minutes from 07:49 to 22:18) from Narita Airport
to Nippori Station (36min,JPY2,400)-change to JR
Yamanote Line from Nippori Station to Ikebukuro
Station (20min, JPY160)
4. JR Rapid Train “AIRPORT NARITA” from Narita
Airport to Tokyo Station (80min, JPY1,280)change to JR Yamanote Line from Tokyo Station to
Ikebukuro Station (30min, JPY190)

sametime, but 3. is cheaper and easier to change train. 4.
is the cheapest way but it takes longer.
Both types includes:room for 4 nights (Check-in Nov
