Your signed Semester-Ticket (with name
and registration number) in connection
with your »Studierendenausweis« and
your identity card is your ticket. With
your Semester-Ticket you can use all bus
and train lines (valid for all forms of
public transport) in the whole AVV-net.
The AVV consists of the city and the
district of Aachen, the districts of Düren
and Heinsberg. You can additionally use
some transboundary bus lines, for example: Line 34 to Kerkrade or line 25 and 33
to Vaals (look at the map of the AVV-net).
The proportionate fare (at present 81,60
Euro) is set up by the university in connection with the social contribution.
The Semester-Ticket has a period of validity from the first day of the semester
up to the start of the next semester, also
in the lecture free times.

Important notice:
! Your Semester-Ticket is not transferable to
other persons.
! You are not allowed to take other persons
with you for free.
! To take your bike with you, you‘ll have to buy
a »Fahrrad-Ticket« for each trip.
! If you are not able to show your SemesterTicket in connection with your »Studierendenausweis« and your identity card to the conductor, you will get a demand to pay about
40,00 Euro (»Erhöhtes Beförderungsentgelt«).
It is possible to show your complete papers at
the customer center of the transport company
(which gave you the demand for payment)
during the next 14 days. After proof of your
papers the sum will be reduced to 7,00 Euro.
! You are not allowed to shrink-wrap or laminate your Semester-Ticket!
Use the local trains (RE, RB, S-Bahn)
between:
• Aachen and Köln Hbf (via Düren)
• Aachen and Düsseldorf Hbf
(via Mönchengladbach)
• Dalheim and Mönchengladbach Hbf
(via Wegberg)
Attention: A trip with long distance
trains like ICE-/Thalys is not included in
your Semester-Ticket. The Semester-Ticket
is not valid in the REGIO BAHN (S 28)
between Neuss Hbf and Düsseldorf Hbf.
Travelling in the first class is not possible.
In the nights from friday to
saturday, saturday to sunday and
before public holidays there are
night buses.

(except N13) is at 1:45 am and
2:45 am (line N1 also 3:45 am)
