The Valentine’s Dance was a hit. The band “Europa” performed beautifully,
despite the fact that one of the band members was late due to bad weather to the
east of us. Unfortunately, some of our members could not make it either for the
same reason, but the rest of us had a terrific time. The social committee outdid
themselves again with the decorating; the hall looked especially beautiful. Thank
You, Maria and staff!
The Dirndl & Trachtenball on March 16th is our annual opportunity to pull out
our Dirndls and show off our heritage. It seems that more and more of us have
gotten away from getting dressed in our “Trachten” for this dance. There will be a
“Best Dirndl” contest if enough people participate, so dust off your outfits and show
them off. The rest of us will be jealous.

Tickets for the Spring Show are available every Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
in the Hubertuskeller or from Arno Risse at 905-528-5245. The date for the show
is Wednesday, April 24th, and tickets are $25.00 per person, with a Schnitzel Dinner
available for $13.00. Dinner will be served from 5:00 to 7:00, and the show starts at
7:30 p.m. I think the show will be a smash as usual, so get your tickets early!

The General Meeting is on the horizon, to be held on Sunday, April 14th.
Please mark the date on your calendar, so you will be sure to attend. You will
receive information on what has happened over the past six months, as well as
plans for the year ahead. Doors open at 1:00 p.m. and the meeting begins at 2:00.
Refreshments will be available as always.

A reminder from our subgroups:
The Ladies’ Auxiliary will not have a meeting in March. As always, the Ladies
will bake many delicious things for the upcoming Good Friday Fish Dinner. Should
you have questions, Helga Schopf is available at 905-664-6254.
The Hunters and Fishers meet on the first Friday of each month in the
Hubertuskeller. The April Meeting will take place on April 5th.
The next “Movie” will take place on March 10th at 2:00 p.m., featuring “Ich tanze
mit Dir in den Himmel hinein”, starring Paul Hörbiger, Johanna Matz & Adrian
Hoven. Coffee and homemade cake is available as always. On this day, John will
also give you the “Spring Lineup” of what he has prepared for us. More details can
be had from John at 905-385-1394.
Once again we have lost members. We offer our condolences to the families and
friends of Horst Preissler who passed away on January 13th, and Arthur Bartz, who
passed away on January 31st. Both members will be greatly missed at the club.
Our club has facilities available for private functions. Perhaps you or a
relative have a birthday or anniversary coming up? Karen Dingfeld will be
glad to give you details on hall rental. Some information is also available on
