new on-glass digital printing, which offers you endless possibilities
and enables you to add a personal touch to all your projects.
In comparison to traditional screen printing, which is mainly suitable
for long run production, we can now offer you cost-effective short
to medium runs and custom designs – straight from the digital
file to glass. Due to this new technology, you can let your imagination
run wild and explore endless possibilities, from works of art to
entire fronts made out of printed glass.
Als die spanischen Architekten Jesús Zafra und Javier Alarcón
sowie der Designer Angel Aro auf die Idee kamen, eine komplette
Gebäudefront mit einem gigantischen abstrakten Kunstwerk auf
Glas zu versehen, ernteten sie nur Kopfschütteln. Zu groß und
kostspielig schien das Projekt, das 475 unterschiedliche
Glasscheiben erforderte. Durch das neue keramische GlasDigitaldruckverfahren wurde jedoch das scheinbar Unmögliche
möglich: Statt der vorgesehenen sieben Monate, die die Bedruckung
der Glasscheiben mit Siebdruck gedauert hätte, wurden die
Scheiben in nur zwei Monaten produziert – zu einem Bruchteil
der veranschlagten Kosten.
When Spanish architects Jesús Zafra and Javier Alarcón and
designer Angel Aro decided to create a building largely sheathed
in glass imprinted with a bold, abstract design, they were confronted
with some disapproval. The project, which involved 475 different
panes, seemed just to big and expensive. Through new on-glass
digital printing, however, the impossible was made possible in
the end: Instead of the calculated seven months for the production
of the panes, only two months were needed – at a fraction of
the cost of screen printing.
