Days
Together with a teacher, schoolchildren from Oetz developed the
beautiful Trail of Contemplation amid a pristine pastureland area.
Starting at the top terminal, the loop trail leads past the new
Bielefelder Hütte to the old and abandoned Bielefelder Hütte. It
then continues to Acherbergalm before looping back to Acherkogelbahn. The trail features eight stations that present the schoolchildren’s thoughts and deliberations, and invite the hiker to pause
and introspect. A free brochure with a description of the stations
and the children’s texts is available at the base terminal.

FAMILY TICKET | Combi Ticket*
The Miners Trail winds its way through a scenic landscape where,
350 years ago, men were mining for copper pyrite, pyrite and
galenite, relying only on muscle power rather than machinery. Up
to 400 miners were working at 2 500 meter above sea level, crushing ore and transporting it to the valley using mules and horses.

TRAIL DIFFICULTY RATING
Please note: the trail difficulty rating is based on trails that are
free of snow and in good condition. Bad weather, residual snow,
landslides, fog, etc. can make a hike a lot more difficult.
Red Trails: marked trails that require previous hiking experience, physical fitness, sure-footedness and basic hiking gear.
Black Trails: marked trails that require previous alpine experience, physical fitness, endurance, sure-footedness, a good head for
heights, and good hiking gear.
