JAHRE ERFOLGREICH!
DRU wurde 1754 gegründet und ist damit eines der ältesten
Industrieunternehmen der Niederlande. Große Bekanntheit
bekam das Unternehmen durch die Produktion gusseiserner
Töpfe und Pfannen. Später ging man zur Herstellung von Öfen
über und seit der Entdeckung von Erdgas im niederländischen
Slochteren (1959) spezialisierte sich DRU auf die Entwicklung
und Herstellung einer breiten Palette an Gasheizungsgeräten.
So mauserte sich DRU zum maßgeblichen Hersteller von
Gasöfen in Europa, mit Niederlassungen in den Niederlanden,
Belgien und Großbritannien.
DRU, SUCCESSFUL FOR OVER 250 YEARS!
DRU was founded in 1754 and as such is one of the oldest
industrial companies in the Netherlands. The company
gained its reputation through its production of cast-iron
pots and pans. A little further down the line the company
switched over to producing fireplaces, and since the
discovery of natural gas in Slochteren (in 1959) DRU has
specialised in the development and production of a wide
range of gas-fired heating appliances. DRU evolved into
the leading European producer of gas-fired fireplaces, with
branches in the Netherlands, Belgium and Great Britain.
Range
The current range of gas and electric fireplaces and wood
burners is the culmination of immense experience and
development at the highest of levels. DRU gas fireplaces
are developed with low energy consumption, high output
and the environment in mind.
Environment
At DRU we strive to be as environmentally-aware as
we can. All our products meet the strictest of quality
assurances and inspections. Moreover, DRU ensures the
energy reserves remain intact for future generations, which
is why we presently support numerous projects including
a Ugandan one, where local people can plant new trees to
ultimately better provide for themselves.

Design
In the design of a new fireplace the wishes and
needs of the consumer are first looked at; what are
the latest trends and how are they manifested in the
latest interiors? DRU appoints a special team that
analyses current trends from a range of sources,
and translates these into concrete product ideas
that match market demands and wishes.
Quality and safety
All DRU products meet the strictest of quality
assurances. Each and every fire undergoes a number
of rigorous checks before leaving the factory. The
guarantee period on model parts is two years. DRU
fireplaces can be obtained from an extensive range
of preselected and specialised dealers. Our fires are
usually burning in our countless showrooms, where
you will receive expert advice on the range of options
available to your specific situation.

Die Entwicklung eines neuen Kamins beginnt mit
der Erfassung der Wünsche und Bedürfnisse der

ein eigenes Team eingesetzt, das aus verschiedenen
Quellen schöpfend die aktuellen Trends und
Entwicklungen auf dem Markt analysiert und diese in
konkrete Produktideen umsetzt, welche den (künftigen)
Wünschen und Bedürfnissen der Verbraucher
entsprechen.
Qualität und Sicherheit
Die DRU-Produkte genügen den höchsten

Anzahl strenger Kontrollen unterzogen, bevor er die
Fabrik verlässt. Die Garantiezeit auf Geräteteile beträgt
zwei Jahre.

When selecting a gas fire or heater you are opting for
ambience, convenience and comfort. With a single press
of a button you ignite the fire and can enjoy a lovely,
natural flame-effect. Subsequently, you can easily
regulate the temperature indoors via a remote control.

Combustion system
One important benefit of gas models is the closed
combustion system. The arrival of this system has
made the traditional chimney superfluous. With closed
combustion, the system extracts air required for heating
directly from outdoors and removes the flue gases via
the same duct. Such extraction can, in many cases,
simply be fed through the outer wall (via the roof is also
an option of course).

Mit dem neuen PowerVent® System von DRU
können Sie nun beinahe überall einen prächtigen
Gaskamin aufstellen. Es ist jetzt viel einfacher, eine
Abfuhr durch Abfuhrkanäle mit geringem Durchmesser und einer Länge von bis zu 20 Metern zu
installieren. Sie können jetzt horizontal, vertikal
oder über allerlei Kurven an die freie Luft. Sie
können sogar durch den Keller gehen. Durch die
flexiblen Möglichkeiten können Sie nun in beinahe
jeder Wohnung, in jedem Restaurant, Hotel oder
Ausstellungsraum einen prächtigen Gaskamin

With the new DRU PowerVent® system a gas fire
can be positioned pretty much anywhere. It’s now
far simpler to position a flue system through ducts
with small diameters up to a maximum length of
20 metres. An exterior supply of air can now be
accessed horizontally, vertically, or via all kinds of
bends. You can even go via the crawl space. This
flexibility means you can now place a magnificent

such as restaurants, hotels or showrooms.

H2O How it works
| Wie funktioniert es?
The DRU Agua range has been specifically
designed for people looking to use gas
more efficiently. By not only utilising the
warmth from the fireplace to heat the
room in which it is placed but to also heat
the CH water that runs through it, less
heat is lost and you gain more output from
your fireplace!
Technique
The fireplaces are ideal for connection
with a buffer tank. Water is pumped out
of a buffer tank through the fireplace
pipes and subsequently fed back into the
buffer tank. This means you can connect
several alternative energy sources

buffer tank and source these for your CH
hot water but also for your drinking

It is of course always possible to connect

Technik
Die Kamine eignen sich ausgezeichnet für
den Anschluss an einen Pufferspeicher.
Das Wasser wird aus dem Pufferspeicher
durch die Leitungen in den Kamin
gepumpt und dann wieder in den
Pufferspeicher eingespeist. So können Sie
mehrere alternative Energiequellen an
den Pufferspeicher koppeln und diesen
als Quelle für das Warmwasser für Ihre
Zentralheizung, aber auch für Ihr Trinkund Duschwasser verwenden!
Natürlich ist es auch möglich, den
Kamin direkt an Ihr
Zentralheizungssystem
anzuschließen, ohne einen
Pufferspeicher zu verwenden. Auf
diese Weise unterstützen Sie Ihr
Zentralheizungssystem und beheizen Sie
gleichzeitig einen oder mehrere Räume.

Die DRU Kaminverkleidungen und Plateaus sorgen für ein stimmungsvolles und schön
verarbeitetes Ganzes und sind für fast alle Modelle erhältlich. Die Kaminverkleidungen
und Plateaus sind aus eigens ausgewählten Steinsorten hergestellt und werden serienmäßig mit den erforderlichen Installationsmaterialien geliefert.
Verarbeitung
Sie können aus verschiedenen Verarbeitungssorten wählen: unter anderem poliert
(Hochglanz) und geschliffen (matt)
Maßarbeit
Bei jeder Kaminverkleidung oder jedem Plateau ist Maßarbeit möglich. So haben Sie
stets eine Kaminverkleidung oder ein Plateau passend zu dem Kamin Ihrer Wahl.

The DRU surrounds and hearths create a mood enhancing, fantastic
finished product. All designs and styles are manufactured from the
highest quality stone and are delivered, as standard, with all the
installation materials required.
Treatment
You can choose from various treatments and effects ranging from
