Lufthansa Cargo hat mit DB Schenker die Torlinientechnik von GoalControl zum Confed Cup 2013,
der Generalprobe zur Fußball-WM 2014, nach Brasilien gebracht. Die kleine deutsche Firma setzt
14 Hochgeschwindigkeitskameras ein, die den Ball ständig erfassen. Sobald er die Torlinie überquert,
wird in weniger als einer Sekunde ein verschlüsseltes Signal an die Empfängeruhr des Schiedsrichters
(oben) gesendet. Die Technik könnte bereits 2014 zum Einsatz kommen – und dazu beitragen,
Schiedsrichter-Fehlentscheidungen wie 1966 in Wembley oder beim nicht gegebenen Tor des
Engländers Frank Lampard im Achtelfinale gegen Deutschland bei der WM 2010 in Südafrika (oben)
zu vermeiden.
No more ghost goals: Lufthansa Cargo flew the GoalControl technology to Brazil for the Confed Cup
2013, the dress rehearsal for the 2014 World Cup. The German company GoalControl monitors the
position of the ball with 14 high-speed cameras and sends an encrypted signal to the referee within
one second of the ball crossing the line (above). The technology could be in use by 2014 - and help to
prevent decisions like Lampard’s disallowed goal against Germany at the 2010 World Cup (above).

nun soll „niceview“ künftig in allen
Langstreckenflugzeugen eingesetzt
werden. Das sogenannte MovingMap-System der Lufthansa Technik
ist im Unterhaltungsprogramm an
Bord abrufbar. Mit hochauflösenden
3-D- und 2-D-Karten werden aktuelle Informationen über den Flug in
Echtzeit für die Passagiere bereitgestellt. Die Umrüstung soll noch in
diesem Jahr beginnen.
