Inclosure to Division Memo ~ s. 2014
To ensure efficient implementation of the Read With Me Activity, on March· 1, 2014, at
the Filinvest open field, and considering the volume of people to converge in one location, the
following reminders (guidelines) must be discussed during the parent & child orientation.
All schools must conduct parents and pupils orientation to discuss the objectives and
importance of this big event: to the DepEd Muntinlupa, and to the entire populace of the city, to
.get their full support and commitment as active participants.
A. Before the Big Event
1. Select the pupils and parents who have no serious ailment such as asthma, high
blood pressure. Physical fitness is necessary to withstand the crowd of thousands.
2. Orient parents/ pupils of their designated assembly area and time, and respective
place in the human flag. Refer to the attached flag ofFilinvest and Flag.
3. Be on the site at 4:00 in the morning, in your designated assembly area.
4. Pupils must wear their school IDs and the bar code for electronic counting.
5. Strictly wear prescribed t-shirt assigned to your school and a pair of blue jeans.
6. Make sure that you have the exact number of participants allocated for your school.
Have at least five (5) pairs (parent-child) as buffers in case of any unforeseen absence
of participants.
7. Stewards must know in advance. the 50 parents and pupils under his/her command.
The parent is accountable to his /her own child.
S. Refrain from bringing backpacks and big bags as these may alter the color and
design of the human flag.
9. Avoid bringing valuable items and electronic gadgets that might be lost / snatched.
10. Color of folders must be the same with the color of t-shirt.
11. Eat light breakfast. Number of portalets is limited. You can have your ala King
breakfast after the 3 - hour activity.
12. Each pair has a specific slot in the human flag. Stick to your place and do not
attempt to swap with friends.
13. Encourage parents to constantly rehears (performance) reading at home.
14. Post in conspicuous place in the school essential information about the events such
as date and time of rehearsals, etc.
B. During the Big Event
1. Walk from drop-off point in Alabang viaduct up to the event venue. Transport
vehicles could not accommodate volume of participants. Participants are advised to
walk.
2. Report to your steward in your designated assembly area.
3. Checking of attendance will be facilitated by the assigned steward. There is one

4. The cue to start marching is when the live band starts playing the Muntinlupa
March. Ihe singing of the national anthem starts immediately when everybody is
fully converged to form the Philippine flag.
5. Read the story "Love You Forever" with feelings simultaneously with the highest
official who serve as a leader - reader.
6. Listen attentively to the speeches of personalities and to authorities providing
instructions. Do not make unnecessary movements.
7. Stay still until the end of the program. Collective small voices can create a loud noise
that can destruct the flow of the program.
S. Limit your 'baon' to candies and small bottle of water.
9. Parent must check the condition of his/her child at all times. Call Medics who are
scattered within the area at once if needed.
10. Be alert on any notorious people around.
11. Bring handkerchief not towels. Avoid using the folders as fan.

14. Parents / Adults must not bring another child aside from child - participant.

of plants.
