Seit dem Jahr 2006 sind die Zulieferer im Nordosten in einem eigenen Branchennetzwerk organisiert, deren Basis der Verein
automotive-mv e.V. ist. Heute zählen Verein und Netzwerk 20 Mitglieder. Unsere Netzwerkpartner beschäftigen 3500 Mitarbeiter. Zu
ihnen gehören große und bekannte Systemlieferanten wie Webasto Neubrandenburg, TRW Airbag Systems Laage, ml&s Greifswald,
Lear Corp. Wismar, Hydraulik Nord Fluidtechnik Parchim, Flamm Precomp Laage und Oberaigner Automotive Laage.
Das Bild der Zulieferindustrie im Lande wird aber auch maßgeblich durch spezialisierte Mittelständler geprägt - wie z. B. Lang Metallwarenproduktion Woldegk, Gummifabrik Lubeca Upahl, SD Klaus Hirsch Neubrandenburg, Teterower Kunststoffe, EcoNautic Dargun
oder Bremi-Fahrzeugelektrik Dömitz. Sie verarbeiten Stahl, Leichtmetall, Gummi oder Kunststoff, montieren automotive Komponenten oder sind im Werkzeugbau tätig.
Das zentrale Anliegen des automotive-Netzwerkes ist es, die Zulieferbetriebe des Landes zusammenzubringen und Ihnen eine Kommunikationsplattform zu bieten. Best-Practice und das Voneinander lernen werden dabei ganz groß geschrieben.

Since 2006, the suppliers in the North East are organized in a branch network, the automotive-mv e.V. Today association and network
has more than 20 members. Our network partners employ 3,500 employees. Among them are large and well known system suppliers
like Webasto Neubrandenburg, TRW Airbag Systems Laage, ml&s Greifswald, Lear Corp. Wismar, Hydraulik Nord Fluidtechnik Parchim, Flamm Precomp Laage and Oberaigner Automotive Laage.
There are also specialized SMEs, like Lang Metallwarenproduktion Woldegk, Gummifabrik Lubeca Upahl, SD Klaus Hirsch Neubrandenburg, Teterower Kunststoffe, EcoNautic Dargun oder Bremi-Fahrzeugelektrik Dömitz. They process steel, light metal, rubber or
plastic or manufacture automotive components.
The focus of the automotive network is bringing together the suppliers of the country and offer them a platform for communication.

Die Kernkompetenzen von Webasto umfassen die Entwicklung und Produktion kompletter
Dach- und Cabriodach-Systeme für Pkw sowie Heiz-, Kühl- und Lüftungssysteme für Pkw,
Nutz-, Spezial- und Schienenfahrzeuge, Reisemobile sowie Boote. Darüber hinaus bietet das
Unternehmen Standheizungen und Schiebedächer zur Nachrüstung auch für Endkunden an.
Das Know-how aus der Automobilindustrie wird dabei gezielt auf andere Fahrzeugarten übertragen. Ein Beispiel sind die beweglichen Dachsysteme für Boote.
Als Marktführer für kraftstoffbetriebene Pkw-Zuheizer und Standheizungen ist auch die
Elektromobilität ein wichtiger Pfeiler der Wachstumsstrategie von Webasto. Zur Markterschließung hat der Automobilzulieferer 2012 ein hocheffizientes, elektrisch betriebenes Heizsystem für Hybrid- und Elektrofahrzeuge entwickelt, das während der Fahrt den Innenraum
beheizt. Die Serienproduktion des Gerätes startet 2015 im Werk Neubrandenburg.

The Webasto Group based in Stockdorf near Munich has been a family-owned business since the company was founded in 1901.
Webasto operates internationally at over 50 locations (over 30 of these are productions sites) and is engaged in the business sectors
Roof and Thermo systems. Webasto is one of the top 100 automotive suppliers worldwide. In 2013, Webasto realized a sales volume
of more than 2.4 Billion Euros and employed a workforce numbering over 10,000 worldwide. The company’s core competencies encompass the development, production and sales of complete roof and convertible systems as well as heating, cooling and ventilation
systems for passenger cars, commercial and special vehicles, recreational vehicles and boats. With approximately 700 employees
at the Neubrandenburg site, Webasto produces about 1 million heating systems per year for the automotive industry´s world market. Webasto is the pioneer and market leader in parking heaters for cars and develops and produces both original equipment and
aftermarket system solutions. For many years, Webasto heaters have been rated as „Best Brand“ by the customers in both car and
truck segments. Webasto heaters increase the vehicle comfort and safety of the passengers. Snow and ice-free windows significantly
reduce the risk of accidents by providing visual clarity while pre-heated engines protect the environment. Another advantage is that
emissions of carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxide are reduced by 50 percent compared with a cold start.

Webasto´s product portfolio includes solutions for diesel or gasoline vehicles of all sizes. Truck
manufacturers greatly benefit from Webasto’s competence in heating, air conditioning and
fresh air provision. For example, a 2 kW heater in a truck performs its work with so little noise
that the driver can sleep in the cabin. And in summer an independent air conditioning system
provides the appropriate and most comfortable temperature without engine noise and exhaust
fumes from parked vehicles. In addition to the production and assembly with extensive
development and testing capabilities, the Neubrandenburg plant also has a hotline for technical
customer service and modern logistic systems (for the connection) as an interface of
approximately 300 suppliers and 8,000 customers around the world.
