The JWC provides an event for special needs kids where they can
participate without mobility restrictions as most of the children
use wheelchairs, walkers, etc and cannot attend our normal
events. The event is at no charge, so both monetary donations

Mention of support in the Friday Flyer publication, signage at the
event and announcements during the event.

The Splash Into Spring event took place on March 31, 2012.
Representatives: Home Depot, Lowe’s, City of Lake Elsinore, LESJWA, Elsinore High School Solar Cup, Western
MWD, Diamond Valley Lake (display only), & Master Gardener Sheila Butler.
Visits from The Storm’s Thunder Dog & LESJWA’s Bessie the Bass
EVMWD booths, displays, activities & tours included: Conservation & Meters, Leak Detection, Salt Display,
SCADA Demo, Vactor Truck & Video Van, Backhoe and other large equipment, Regional WWTP tour, Seymour
Robotic Camera
EVMWD Children’s activities included: Leak Detection, Leaking pipe, Basketball Pipes, Metal Medallion Hunt,
color a Phinneas hat, Float A Boat Density Activity, Scavenger Hunt, Water Cycle Bracelets, Balloon Animals, Water Conservation and Mighty Microbe Tattoos, Face Painting
