VICE IS NICE is organized by THE ANIMAL RESCUE ALLIANCE
and your participation and donations will help all of these groups
continue their valuable work in our community.
FixNation was founded in 2007 by Mark Dodge and
Karn Myers. Through its educational outreach and
successful partnership with hundreds of trappers in
the Los Angeles area FixNation has sterilized over
100,000 cats. Give thought, for one minute, to how
many future homeless cats they have collectively
prevented by spaying and neutering. It is mind-boggling yet FixNation still has much more to do.
Their mission is to reduce the population of
homeless cats by sterilizing as many as possible
while demonstrating the effectiveness of TrapNeuter-Return and colony management for the humane care of homeless cats.FixNation is located in
the San Fernando Valley and operates Wednesday
through Saturday. It qualifies as tax-exempt by the
IRS as a 501c3 corporation.

Life 4 Paws provides a bridge between people and
animals through education, assistance with rescue
efforts and resources information. They believe that
the way we treat animals; with love, respect and
understanding, reflects the way we ought to treat
each other.
Life4Paws was founded in 2000 and over the
last 14 years they have placed thousands of wonderful animals in safe, loving homes here in Southern California. But Life4Paws doesn’t stop there.
While over 15,000 animals were euthanized in
Los Angeles Shelters last year there are hundreds of
cities across the country where families want to
adopt small dogs. Responding to that, Life4Paws
has created a program called Miles 4 Smiles.
Through Miles 4 Smiles, Life4Paws flies dogs to
other cities where safe, loving homes are waiting.

Pink Paws is a cat rescue and adoption group located in Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley and
Northridge. Pink Paws works in rescue, adoptions and TNR, (Trap, Neuter and Release).
Through their TNR program they work to control cat overpopulation and end euthanasia
in the Southern California Shelter system. Pink Paws works with FixNation, local vets
and community groups to implement TNR training programs.
They are strong advocates and volunteers in Los Angeles County spay/neuter programs.
Through their adoption program they work with volunteer fosters to socialize and adopt
the kittens of feral mothers and shelter cats.
The Northridge Pink Paws is run by dedicated volunteers and provides care and medical services with the help and support of donors like you.

Almost Home Animal
Rescue is a nonprofit, taxdeductible 501(c)(3) organization founded by Val Israel
and Nancy Travis in 2010.
AHAR is dedicated to the
rescue and care of cats and
dogs in need in Los Angeles, San Diego, Orange, San
Bernardino, Kern, and
Riverside Counties. It is their goal to find each animal
a safe and loving home.
AHAR is dedicated to the rescue and care of abandoned, abused or injured dogs and cats and aids in
their rehabilitation by providing them with care and
temporary housing.

The Animal Rescue Alliance operates as both an
adoption agency and a sanctuary for dogs, cats,
horses, birds, goats and donkeys. Additionally TARA
has a special projects committee that works to help
women and families who are victims of domestic violence in need short term care for their pets as they
transition to safe housing. Through it's outreach it also
works to support and coordinate programs with other
worthwhile rescues in Southern California.
