PINNACLE NATIONAL ART COMPETITION
ARTIST / WORK ELIGIBILITY. Artists over 18 years of age, residing in the continental United States are eligible.
FAMU employees are ineligible to participate in this competition. Artists may enter up to three original 2D or 3D
works of art executed after January 1, 2014. All artworks must be original and completed without supervision by an
instructor in a class or a workshop. All artwork must be suitable for professional presentation. Two-dimensional
works, when displayed, cannot exceed 48” in any dimension including frame. Three-dimensional works cannot
exceed 60” in height, 24” in width, and 24” in depth. The weight limitation must not exceed 50 lbs.
AWARD SELECTION
The juror will select exhibited works from submitted jpegs. The awarded
works of art will be chosen by the juror from the physical work. No more
than one prize will be awarded per individual artist. $1,000 is awarded
to Best of Show. There are also First, Second and Third Place cash
awards.
Two Honorable Mentions will be acknowledged in the
exhibition.

All exhibiting artists’ work will be featured in, and receive one full color
illustrated PINNACLE catalog.
SALES
It is optional for exhibited artists to sell their artwork. Sales are the
responsibility of the Foster-Tanner Fine Arts Gallery, which will retain
10% of the selling price. For artists who opt to offer their work for sale,
signing the entry form is an agreement to those conditions.
ENTRY FORM
Fill out and return the entry form with your CD with jpegs, entry fee, and
an optional return, stamped envelope through regular First Class U.S.

NON-REFUNDABLE ENTRY FEE
A non-refundable entry fee of $25.00 is required for up to three jpegs.
Each additional artwork image is $5.00 each for a maximum of $35.00
for five slides. Payment must be made by check or money order made
payable to FAMU Foundation / Visual Arts #0130. Do not send cash.
