Zanier Sport, 2013-2014 Overview
Zanier Sports is a family owned business founded in 1969 in Lienz, Austria by Werner and Gabi
Zanier. Zanier continues today with their son, Markus, and daughter, Andrea, carrying on the
business and the brands heritage in developing innovative product for the winter enthusiast.
Zanier is a premium winter glove brand designed and tested in the heart of the Dolomites with a
focus on innovation, quality and execution, from design to delivery. The design team works
extensively with athletes to ensure that the product is authentic and true for the winter athlete.
A leader in Europe, Zanier entered the U.S. market with select models in 2012/2013 season.
North American distribution and sales are located in Richmond, Vermont. Zanier product is
available at specialty outdoor and ski shops throughout North America.
The Zanier 2013/2014 collection offers styles for adults, teens and children using a variety of
materials and technologies. The 2013/14 collection boasts over 80 styles for race, alpine,
snowboard, outdoor and Nordic.
Two key technologies introduced in the 2013/2014 collection include Heat Technology and the
Boa Closure System.
The Boa Closure System, already proven successful in snowboard boots to running shoes, will be
introduced into the glove category by Zanier. A quick easy turn of a dial located on the cuff of
the glove tightens a built-in textile lace on the pinky and thumb side seams towards the back of
the hand. The result is a precision, custom fit to the palm and a no bulk marriage between the
glove and jacket. The textile lace is extremely strong, durable and effective.
Zanier introduces the use of the Boa Closure System in select models, the Revolution. GTX. and
the Constrictor.GTX. The Boa system results in a precision fit with a quick turn of a dial located
on the cuff of the glove.

The Revolution.GTX has an under the cuff design featuring a leather/synthetic shell combo with
a full leather palm. Gore-tex, Primaloft and ZA Breath, proprietary wicking
lining add to the features of this slim profile glove. The Revolution. GTX. provides superior
dexterity making it ideal for the backcountry enthusiast and skiers. The glove is available in three
colors in unisex sizing. (MSRP $140)
Designed for the snowboarder, the Constrictor.GTX. has a long powder cuff with a leather/nylon
shell and an abrasion resistant synthetic palm. Two removable semi rigid molded TPU supports
on the upper section of the hand and palm ensure protection. The Boa system offers an overall
secure, no bulk fit. A fleece lining, ZA loft insulation, and Gore-tex round out this unisex glove.
Available in five colors. (MSRP $140)
The second technology highlight is Heat Technology by Zanier. Zanier has been focusing on the
field of heated gloves since 1999 when they were the first to introduce this technology to the
glove market. In the 2013/14 collection, Zanier will be showing new innovations to the design in
select styles.
Zanier’s Heat Technology is powered by Lithium Ion batteries weighing 60 grams that are
concealed in the collar of the glove. There are three heat settings providing up to ten hours of
heat that are easily adjusted by a low profile button on the backside of the glove. A flame shaped
LED light displays the select level of heat (yellow, orange, red). A supplied charging unit
charges the batteries overnight.
The Aviator. GTX. features Zanier’s Heat Technology and comes with two battery pack units
providing up to twenty hours of warmth. The Aviator was designed in partnership with Austrian
para gliders that required a glove with continuous warmth and superior dexterity. This gauntlet
style glove is designed with goat leather/4-way stretch fabric, Primaloft, Gore-tex, and touch
screen leather on the pointer finger and thumb. (MSRP $400)
The Heat.GTX. glove and Hot.GTX. finger mitt, are updated with Zanier’s new Heat Technology
features, specifically the use of Lithium Ion batteries and the design of the heat settings and
button. The Heat.GTX. and the Hot.GTX. are gauntlet style with goat leather/4-way stretch
fabric, Gore-tex, full leather palm and Zanier’s down like insulation. (MSRP $350)
Zanier continues with Gore’s Xtrafit, a bonding technology whereas the lining and shell are fixed
resulting in no movement between the layers. New is the X-Game XGX model built for
competitive athlete looking for a glove with optimum grip. The glove features an Amara palm
with a silicone print and an under the cuff Pro-Lock closure system for a secure, no bulk fit.
(MSRP $120)
The Laserz.XGX designed in conjunction with Austrian Mountain Rescue Tyrol is an ideal
mountaineering glove where you need superior dexterity for working with your hands. Design
features include a four-way stretch shell and a goatskin palm with a printed Cordura inlay.
(MSRP $110)
