Birchington CE Primary - Term 2 2013/2014
At Birchington Church of England Primary we are
lucky to have our very own Nurture Room called the
Rose Room. Children are invited to spend time with
Mrs Hart in this very special environment and are
encouraged to do a number of activities including
cooking, painting, arts & crafts, play games and even
gardening.
Working in small groups it enables the children to grow socially, feel good about themselves
and valued for who they are and what they do. It is about encouraging our pupils to feel
confident to speak and work in a calm environment.
We are looking for old scrabble letters this term for our next
project. Please bring any unwanted letters to the school
office to be passed onto Sarah Hart – thank you.
As always if you have any unwanted art and crafts material at
home that you think may be of use to us please bring them
into the school office. The children are always so excited to
have new bits and pieces to use!
If any of you have any craft ideas, simple and easy projects to be carried out with the
children, please let me know. I am always open to new ideas.
Here at Birchington Church of England School we care very much for the whole child, for this
reason many children visit the Nurture Room at some point in their time with us. We are
very proud to offer this facility and are always on the lookout for new resources. Any
unwanted games or toys would be gratefully received.
