RIVER MERSEY AND PORT OF LIVERPOOL
Tower Crane Operations - River Mersey
Mariners are advised that during the construction of a new hotel, commencing April 2014, to the
South of the existing Echo Arena, two tower cranes will be constructed with the potential to slew
seaward of the River Mersey (see attached diagram). These cranes will have an air draft of 60m
and will be on site until October 2014.
Although the location of the cranes is outside of the main shipping channel, leisure users and large
yachts in particular are asked to navigate with caution when in the area.
