TO the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA) and/or Seattle Children’s Hospital
By SHUTTLE BUS from the EPIDEMIOLOGY Department:
The Shuttle leaves every 40 minutes from the UW Medical Center (UWMC), Muilenburg Cascade Tower
elevator location. The Shuttle takes about 20 minutes to get to SCCA, so please plan accordingly. The
Shuttle schedule is confusing; for SCCA take the Shuttle that goes directly to SCCA. For Children’s take the
one which goes to Children’s Hospital first, before going on to SCCA.

The UW Medical Center (UWMC) Shuttle stop is located at the east-end (hospital-end) of the Health
Sciences Center (HSC), also known as the Muilenburg Cascade Tower, across from the Glades
Sculpture (see above for link to the UW Health Sciences Center Map).

From the Epidemiology offices (F263) on the 2nd floor, F-wing, you need to get to the Cascade
Elevators, EC-wing, a 10-15 minute walk.

Go to the 3rd floor. Follow the F-wing to the main hallway, which runs the entire length of the Health
Sciences Center (HSC), into the UWMC, from west to east.

Turn right and follow the signs (above the hallway) pointing to wings E, D, C, B, A, AA, BB, RR, and
Hospital.

This will take you past the main HSC lobby, the D-wing Dental Clinics, the BB Elevators hall, and the
Pacific Elevators, toward the main UWMC (hospital) entrance/Lobby area.

Walk through the UWMC Lobby and past the gift shop (on the left), to the ‘cU lobby Espresso’ shop.

Turn right, at the ‘cU lobby espresso’ and go around the curve, to the Cascade Elevators.

Take an elevator down to the 1st floor (from the 3rd floor). Outside are the Shuttle stops (Bays #2, and
#3). The SCCA Shuttle leaves from Bay #2.
The Shuttle is a white van-like bus. The SCCA Shuttle leaves from Bay 2. Check with the driver to be sure
that you take the correct van to the SCCA. Ask the driver if you are unsure. Other stops may be made by the
Shuttle; do not disembark until you reach your destination).

FROM SCCA to the UW EPIDEMIOLOGY Department
BY SHUTTLE BUS—From the SCCA or Children’s to the UW Epidemiology Program Office:
Catch the Shuttle where you got off and board a shuttle bus. Confirm with the driver that the Shuttle is
headed to the UW Medical Center (UWMC). (See the starred location by the SCCA on the 2nd page of the

Disembark the Shuttle at Bay 2 at the east end of the UWMC.

Enter the building and take an elevator (Cascade elevators) to the 3rd floor.

Turn to your left, around the curve, leading to the main east-west hallway. Go past the gift shop (on
the right), and continue to follow the long main hallway.

Walk past the UWMC main entrance/Lobby, the Pacific elevators, the BB elevators hall, the Health
Sciences (HSC) lobby and the D-wing Dental Clinics, all the way to F-wing. The signs, above the
hallway, will let you know which direction to walk.

Turn left at the F-wing and continue walking, to the end.

At the end of the F-wing (T-junction), take the stairs or elevator down to Floor 2 of the F-wing.
Facing the Epidemiology bulletin board, go right and turn left at the corner. F263 is the last office by the
windows.
