Now in its 9th year, the event provided 300+ young women currently in the county foster system a formal gown and accessories for her prom or special event. The Glamour Gowns event created a day of excitement for the young ladies as they were paired with personal shoppers helping guide them through the hundreds of dresses, shoes, bags and jewelry that have been generously donated for the event by individual donors and corporate partners like Chinese Laundry, Neutrogena and David's Bridal, who continue to be ardent supporters of Glamour Gowns. With the help of these partners, they are able to provide an opportunity for these young women to feel great about themselves while allowing them to participate in a very important teen-age rite of passage. CASA volunteers are appointed by the court to represent the interests of abused and neglected children in juvenile court to secure a safe, nurturing, permanent home.
