$13 Sam Ross named this drink after singer M.I.A.'s song "Paper Planes," which he listened to
while he worked on the recipe.

Edward VII. There are several variations of this pre-Prohibition tipple but we use the recipe from New York’s bar

although when exactly it was created is unclear. Whether it was before or after the '30s is up for debate; the hotel,

forgotten during prohibition. It wasn’t until 1995 that this cocktail was uncovered by the hotel’s manager and
