Ruffle
Me
Lovely
This frilly-fun ensemble
has all the glamour of
a petticoat and half the
hassle. We made it using
McCall’s Pattern #6497 and
then added black rosettes
and trim. To highlight
layers on the pant leg,
stack color-coordinating
prints like these. Then
dance a dainty minuet (or
a jig—whatever fluffs
your ruffles).

Pint-Sized Pair
One for you, and one for puppy, too! This sweet
combo (Simplicity Pattern #1793) comes with a
complete mini-me pattern for your sweetheart’s
favorite play pal. And since the big girl pattern
features a flowy dress-and-pant set, she’ll be
free to leap and twirl her way through the day.
Superstar
Spotted
Dress your diva in this
two-piece knockout, and it’s
look out world! It’s our own
funky fabric creation—thanks
to McCall’s Pattern #6688. And
it’s sweet. It’s sassy. It’s even
pom-pom-adorned!
(That’s right…check out
that red and green trim.)
All it needs is a pair of
paparazzi-proof shades and a
show-stopping smile to boot.

Rosy Posey
Our all-purpose trims—like the
lace ruffles and pink rosettes
pictured here—are the quicker
spiffer-uppers for any outfit.
Pink shorts: McCall’s Pattern
#5419 and a double-sided bow,
stitched on (we added trim to
the tank using a hand-drawn
heart pattern). Patchwork dress:
McCall’s Pattern #6497.

Chic in
Paris
“Oui, oui,” she’ll say while
sipping her tea… ’cause this
Eiffel-esque fabric will give
her an excuse to play dress-up
any day. We used McCall’s
Pattern #6686 and added
some chiffon trim instead of
ruffles—a great timesaver!
Accent the outfit with a bow à
la mode or headband like the
one you see here. (We carry
pre-made rosettes!)

pep talk
Peplum, that is—it might be our
favorite ruffle interpretation. This just-for-tots jacket (McCall’s
Pattern #6597) features dark and light florals, and even the buttons
are blooming!

Daisy Baby
This cap-sleeved beauty belongs
with the blooms. By pairing a bright paisley pattern with playful
cheetah and then adding some ivory tulle trim, we’ve created our
very own little ray of sunshine from Simplicity Pattern #1921.
RUFFLEd
Duff
When your superstar
tries this doubly darling
dress-and-bloomer pair,
she just might insist on
wearing it to sleep…and
to bath time…and in
the winter, too. We made
it with Simplicity Pattern
#1921 and doubled up
the ruffles on the sleeves
and tushie.

Park IT
Step 1: Don a light, flowy
dress like the one you
see here—from McCall’s
Pattern #6731.
Step 2: Have a heavenly
afternoon in the park.
Tip: We used patchwork
fabric for parts of the
pattern and the tie.

HelLo,
Chevron!
We’re so glad you’re back.
And to celebrate, we’ve
made some spunky summer
shorts to pair with a
chiffon-adorned tank from
McCall’s Pattern #6642.

Try an ogee-inspired tunic
for a style that’s one part
pop art, one part disco, and
one part Girls Just Wanna
Have Fun. To make it, we
added ruffly chiffon trim to
Simplicity Pattern #1704.

Pinning Pretty
Everyone knows that moms make the best playmates.
These picnic-ready, houndstooth get-ups will show the
world the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. For the
girl’s dress, we used McCall’s Pattern #6389. And for the
grown-up version, we used Simplicity Pattern #2447.
For a brooch-fully beautiful touch, we created our
own pins by cutting the blooms from our rosette
trim, adhering them in a flower shape onto a small
felt piece, and then gluing a pin back to the felt.

Pattern #6735. Because there’s no
reason you shouldn’t pair every fun
and funky fabric in sight!
