CTS-V Car of the Year at Spring Challenge

Three dozen members of Texas Auto
Writers Association (TAWA) enjoyed
three days of fun, fellowship, and
driving at the eighth annual Spring
Challenge May 2–4, held at the Marriott Hotel and Golf Club at Champion Circle, North of Fort Worth,
and the nearby Texas Motor Speedway. The writers drove 60 different
vehicles ranging from high performance models to family sedans and
even a few compact SUVs to pick
winners in seven categories.
The overall winner was the Cadillac CTS-V, chosen as the 2010
Car of Texas. This delightful sedan
has fuel-saving 3.0L direct injected
V-6 standard in all North American models, and the latest in technology that includes a USB port for
audio devices, magnetic ride control, a pop-up navigation system,
and adaptive forward lighting that
swivels with steering. The interior
is the latest word in luxury, making the CTS-V the perfect combination of performance and luxury.
Last year’s Car of Texas was another
General Motors product, the 2010
Chevy Camaro.

of Texas: the Dodge Viper ACR. At
the heart of the 2010 Dodge Viper

annual Truck Rodeo, where they
will pick the 2010 Truck of Texas as
