About the 2013 Event
The grandeur of the Landfall Country Club. The stunning
beauty of an array of handbags. The magnificence of fabulous,
chic fashionistas in attendance. The power to ignite change
and to harness the belief that all teens deserve access to
quality healthcare.
Power of the Purse is the chic way to give! A silent auction and
raffle to benefit Wilmington Health Access for Teens (WHAT)
and local teens, it has been called “guilt-free shopping at its
finest.” Attendees will help raise funds to provide area teens
with access to quality primary care, mental health, nutrition,
and health education services.
This special event is back after a successful debut last spring – we expect to see an increasing
number of guests and purses this year! This event features amazing purses donated by the
region’s most fashionable boutiques, retailers and designers. Inspired individuals who would
like to be a sponsor or donate a designer purse for the silent auction are encouraged to
participate. As and added feature, the event recognizes “purse-onalities,” or area celebrities
who have donated gently loved bags from their collections.
Exhilarating, emotional and entertaining, the Power of the Purse is truly THE not-to-miss
event of the season!
