2013 Summer Collection. High-quality natural materials,
sophisticated workmanship and a good dose of retro style
dominate this season’s designs. Captivating model hats and
fascinators in delicate tones ranging from sorbet colours
to stone hues and maritime nuances.
Nonchalant, soft summer hats made of raffia and manila
hemp protect the wearer from the sun. Airy crochet work
combines with delicate fabric. Natural and pastel tones
underline the estival casualness of these uncomplicated hats
for everyday use. Fedoras, bell-shaped hats or 70s style – all
hats stand out with their wearing comfort and attractive
design.
Also a must-have for summer 2013: the casual hat for
men, inspired by Bogart hats or cowboy hat shapes, or the
trendy Trilby. These sporty, masculine hats made of raffia,
manila hemp and Japanese toyo paper complete the casual
city look – for ladies and gentlemen.
Delicate exotic straw is used to shape expressive and
sculptural creations. Feathers and precious veils are
transformed into fragile blossoms and attractive trimmings,
adorning hat and wearer. This luxurious headdress crowns

For 15 years, Nicki Marquardt has been designing and
manufacturing Haute Couture and custom made hats
for a wide range of occasions, including theatre, TV and
film productions as well as social events such as weddings,
anniversaries and celebrations. Nicki Marquardt is high
in demand and also creates two annual Prêt-à-Porter
collections which she presents in spring and in autumn at
leading international fashion accessory fairs.
Her collections are sold worldwide by select galleries,
fashion and concept stores: from Auckland, Brisbane,
and Chicago to London, Milan, New York, Paris and San
Francisco, Seoul and Tokyo.
Unconventional stylistic elements, delicate materials
and perfect workmanship are the leitmotifs for Nicki
Marquardt’s design. Her focus is
always on designing contemporary
and trendy hats for ladies and
gentlemen which are enhancing the
style of their wearer. Her creations
have reaped numerous awards: in
2012, Nicki Marquardt received the
internationally renowned red dot
design award for her collection of
folding hats which reflect her design
attitude in a playful manner.
