In the chords above I used flats for the names. They could also be
sharps.
Flats and sharps are used for notes in between two notes.
F to G is two frets away so the note in between is an F# or Gb
depending on what key you are using. There isn’t a note between B and
C or E and F.
There may be times when you see E# , B#, Cb or Fb. This is done
because you can’t have two notes in a scale with the same name. In the
key of F# you will see an E#.
