We recommend using
concession grade
popping oil from
American Fun Food.
Using retail popping oil
may result in a cleaning
charge.
1. Plug in popper directly to a wall outlet.
2. Turn on all three switches (kettle motor, kettle heat, and light warmer). They are located inside the
unit in the top left corner.
3. Open lid and pour in mega pop kit (corn, salt and oil) in kettle and shut lid. Do not put in more than
one Mega Pop kit at a time! Popcorn may take 3-5 minutes to start popping depending on if it is the
first batch. After the first batch the popper is on a 3 minute popping cycle.
4. When popcorn starts to overflow out of kettle let it go until it is about 95% done, then dump popcorn
kettle. Do not wait for popcorn to stop popping before dumping it or it will burn!
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for each batch of popcorn you want to make.
6. When you are done popping please turn off kettle heat and kettle motor.
7. When you are done serving turn off light warmer and unplug unit.
Cleaning:
1. Cleaning the machine is easiest when the kettle is still a little warm. Make sure all popcorn kernels are
out of the kettle.
2. Unplug the kettle by turning the kettle plug clockwise and pull down.
3. Lift out kettle. Cleaning kettle when removed from unit is easiest.
4. Please wipe inside and outside of kettle, removing all oil, salt and popcorn. Do not use any strong and
or abrasive chemicals on the kettle.
5. Wipe inside and outside of glass. You may use non ammoniated Windex on the glass. Ammoniated
products can damage the plexiglass.
6. Please empty and wipe clean the seed tray.
7. Remove metal corn pan (metal flat piece with holes) and wipe clean.
8. Remove drop pan (metal piece underneath the door) and wipe clean.
9. Make sure to clean the bottom of the unit under the metal corn pan and seed tray.
10. Please clean popcorn scoop that was provided.
11. Please assemble parts back to their normal position.
Note: You may use a food grade sanitizer to cleaner popper, available for purchase at American Fun Food.
