How to Set Up a Blog on Blogger.com
Getting started:
•
Go to www.blogger.com
•
Click on Create Your Blog Now
Create your account:
•
Enter your email, create a password, and choose your
user name (display name)
•
For Word Verification, type in the letters
exactly as they are shown on your screen
•
Check the I accept the terms of service box, then click Continue

Name your blog:
•
Type in your blog title
•
Type in a unique web address (URL) that is easy to remember
•
Click Check Availability to make sure the URL you have picked
is not already taken
•
Once you know the URL is available, click Continue
Choose a template:
•
Click Preview to see what a template looks like
•
To choose a template, click on it to highlight it
•
Don’t worry—you can easily change the look of your blog later
(this is just to get you started)
•
Click Continue … you have just created your blog!
•
Click Start Posting to make your first entry

Start posting:
•
Enter a title for your blog
in the title bar
•
Start typing your blog
in the main window
•
To see how your blog will look,
click Preview

graphics

Add graphics:
•
After clicking the Add Graphics button (see previous page), this window will pop up:
•
To add in image from your computer, use the Browse button to locate the file
•
To add an image from the web, enter its web address (URL)
•
Tell blogger how big you’d like your graphic to be by clicking on Image Size
•
Click on a layout that you like to organize your text and graphics
•
Press Upload Image to save your graphic, or Cancel if you have changed your mind

Save your blog:
•
To save your work without posting it live on your blog, click Save as Draft
•
To save your work and post it live on your blog, click Publish
•
This window will appear next:
•
To see your new blog, click View Blog
•
Post your blog to the Collaboration Zone
