who continue to work within the organization
such as Mark Carrier, Jordan Gross, Mike Rucker,
Ricky Proehl, Eugene Robinson and Curtis Fuller.
Former wide receiver, Mike Carrier is currently the
player engagement director for the organization
and a Panthers legend for scoring the first
touchdown in Bank of America Stadium history on
September 1, 1996. “It is always great to spend
time with players you fought and battled with.
It is a great experience to reconnect with former
teammates you haven’t seen in a long time,” said
Carrier.
This year is unlike any others for Panther alumni
with the establishment of the Historical and
Alumni Affairs department spearheaded by
former Director of Communications, Charlie
Dayton. This department will provide a point of
contact and source of information for alumni to
remain a part of the organization.
“It was a pleasure seeing so many of our former
players again. Over 20 years we have built a
significant base of alumni and it has been fun
reconnecting with so many players from our past.
We hope to be able to create more opportunities
for those former players to engage with the fans
who remember them fondly,” said Dayton.
The Panthers documented this special day
and have made it available to the public on the
Panthers Media Vault at panthers.com.
