Virginia Patrick was born the only child to Alice and Ernest Long on May 9,
1921, in Bay City, MI. She is a graduate of Handy High School.
Virginia and the love of her life, Gerald Patrick, decided to elope and got married at the Bay County Court
House. They had two children, a son and daughter. Sadly, one morning when her son was 3 years old she
noticed her son not feeling well. Tragically, he passed away hours later. After their loss, Virginia decided to
be a stay-at-home mother to provide the best love and care to her daughter, Suzanne.
Virginia loves to spend time with her family. She is an avid reader, with her favorite publication being
Women’s World Magazine, and ventured into the art of sewing. She also enjoys playing card games such as
rummy and pinochle, participating in many rounds of BINGO, staying informed with world events by watching
the news, and getting pampered with hair and nail appointments.

Saturday, May 23rd at 10:00am. This is also a great event for motorcycle enthusiasts as that is their mode preferred mode
of transportation.
The Resident Council meets every month at the Carriage House. It is a platform for
residents to voice concerns, give praises or provide suggestions on how to make The
Carriage House feel more and more like home. Everyone is invited to attend. This
month’s meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 27th in the Garden Room.

Hospice Care focuses on end of life care
and emotional support for the resident
and family. Hospice Care is available at the
Carriage House. If you are interested
please speak with your nurse or social
worker.
Resident’s can set up a cash account in the business office. These funds can be used at the beauty parlor,
activity food stand, activity outings, etc. Cash is available for deposit and withdrawal everyday 7:30am-8:30pm.
We ask that any items such as clothing, furniture, pictures, and jewelry are
taken to the business office or resident’s nursing station before being placed
in the resident’s room. We are starting an inventory list for all residents in
our care. Thank you so much for your cooperation.
We are requesting that all
clothing be properly marked
with a resident's name before
being placed in their room.
Our laundry dept. would be
happy to label them for you.
Simply hand the clothes to
their nurse or c.n.a. and they
will take care of the rest.
