Launch of the Youth Guide: How to Build a Youth Wing
Danish Institute for Parties and Democracy (DIPD) and The Danish Youth Council (DUF) in cooperation with Danish
Egyptian Dialogue Institute (DEDI) have the pleasure of inviting you to:
Launch of the Youth Guide:
How to Build a Youth Wing
The youth was a big driver in the Egyptian revolution. Almost all the people who were in the front lines in the fight for
freedom at Tahrir Sqare were young people. However, when representatives of the Egyptian people in parliament were
to be elected, not many young people crossed the threshold. This is partly because the political parties in Egypt do not
support their young members enough.
DIPD, DUF and DEDI have developed a youth guide on the basis of the experiences of the Danish political party youth
wings to be used as a training tool within the framework of the programme “Toward a Dynamic and Participatory Political
Party Environment”. The guide is meant to inspire the Egyptian political parties to support young members and to inspire
the young members to organize themselves and maybe even establish a youth wing in the parties.
DIPD, DUF and DEDI have invited young members from all the political parties in Egypt to participate in the launch of the
youth guide together with members from the Danish political parties and their youth wings engaged in international work.
