HOW TO GET TO THE WATERMILL CENTER
PLEASE NOTE: A TAXI TO THE WATERMILL CENTER FROM ANY AIRPORT,
MANHATTAN, NEW JERSEY, QUEENS OR BROOKLYN IS $200-$250
From New York City
BY CAR: Take the Long Island Expressway (Route 495) East to Exit 70/Manorville. Take route 111 South to Route 27 East,
known as Montauk Highway. Continue on Route 27 East for about 20 miles. You will pass through the Town of Southampton.
The Road will curve causing you to make a left turn at a stoplight. This is still Route 27 East. After the stoplight, begin to look
for Head of Pond Road on your left. It is approximately one mile after the stoplight. There is a house with a white picket fence
on the corner (if you pass the Watermill Town Center and the Post Office you have gone too far). Make a left onto Head of
Pond Road. You will pass over a small bridge. Follow Head of Pond Road, after about a mile and a half, you will see a miniature
windmill. Go left at the fork in the road at the windmill and the center ill be on your left, #39 Watermill Towd Road.
BY JITNEY (BUS): All eastbound trips depart from: 86th between Lex & 3rd; 69th & Lex; 59th & Lex; and 40th between Lex
& 3rd in Manhattan. Please confirm specific departure times and location at time of reservation. Get off at Southampton Jitney
station (NOT Watermill station!). Approx fare: $27.
BY LIRR (TRAIN): Departs from NY Penn station (34th street/ 8th Avenue), Manhattan. Take the LIRR train to Southampton
station. (You might have to change at Jamaica station) Approx fare: $14-$20.
From John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK)
AIRTRAN TO LIRR: Take AirTran from JFK to Jamaica Station ($5). AirTran runs every 4-6 minutes 6am to 11pm. At Jamaica take the LIRR to Southampton. Approx fare $15.
AIRPORT SHUTTLE TO LIRR: Airport Shuttle is a shared, door-to-door car service, which should be taken to Jamaica Station, NOT Southampton. From Jamaica Station, take the LIRR to Southampton. Fare to Jamaica Station: $25-$30. For information tel: 718-221-8344
TAXI TO JITNEY (BUS): Take a taxi from JFK to Fresh Meadows, Queens, at the corner of the 190th street and the Eastbound Service Rd of the L.I.E. (Utopia Parkway, exit 25 East of the L.I.E.), by the Fresh Meadows Cinema. Pickup Jitney bus
here to Southampton, following the directions above. MUST MAKE A RESERVATION.
From Newark International Airport (EWR)
AIRTRAN TO LIRR: Take the AirTran ($11.50) or Olympia Express Bus ($11) from Newark Airport to Penn Station in Manhattan. From Penn Station take the Long Island Railroad (LIRR) Eastbound to the Southampton stop.
