“How to Access APS Blackboard”

3-4 years old
First, login to the Drew Model School website: www.apsva.us/drew.
The Blackboard link is located to the right side of the screen.
Please use the Firefox (Version 3.0) Web Browser when using this site.

Parents may also access Blackboard by also going to “Parent Resource” tab on the APS
main website page (http://www.arlington.k12.va.us/aps/site/default.asp)
Almost everything you will need is going to be posted on Blackboard. Below you will
find a brief overview. Login using your child’s school identification number and the word
is the letter “p”.
(For 3 years old and 4 years old students)
Login Example: 000123
Password would be: p
(For 5 years old and up students)
Login Example: 0001234
Password Example-Date of Birth: January 14, 2009. Password would be: (011409)
APS Blackboard welcome screen.
This is the APS Blackboard welcome page. From this page you can navigate to what you
want to view. Your child’s teacher classroom number is the link to the child’s Blackboard
teacher classroom.
Example: 10_325_2010:10_325_2010 is Ms. Smith’s Blackboard classroom. 325 is
Ms. Smith’s classroom number.
Your child(s) classroom Blackboard course.
Parents:
We recommend that you check Blackboard daily and/or weekly to keep updated
with classroom information, classroom activities and classroom events.
Video directions are also located on the Drew Model School website in the “Parent”
tab, under “Parent Resources Information”-“Parent Video Directions’.
