From the principal
Dear Parents,
Recently a number of our families were seriously impacted by the recent flooding in
Harris County and surrounding areas. They were all affected in varying degrees but all required the assistance of the
members of the SVdP community. I was
touched by the response! We have long
been known for the strong community
spirit and ties that are formed here for our
families. But that spirit was put into action
and it was a truly wonderful thing to see.
Thank you for all you did to assist those at
a most difficult time.
This edition of the Tiger’s Mouth contains a
wrap up of the last quarter of the 2014-15
school year. It is one of significant progress and achievement for the school and
its students. While I feel we have been extremely successful in many areas there is
always room for improvement. New programs are being introduced into the school
for this year and will strongly emphasize
writing skills, higher level thinking skill as
well as science, technology, engineering
and math.
Yours in Christ,
Our adaptive technology, in math and vocabulary, has proven to be very successful
in raising the level of performance of our
students in those subjects. We will continue to explore other avenues to learning to
better engage and motivate our students
in all subject areas.

From the PTO President
“For just as each of us has one body with
many members, and these members do
not all have the same function, so in Christ
we, though many, form one body, and
each member belongs to all the others.”
In addition to the 36 PTO board directors,
we need the support of every family to
continue to build on the successes of our
school. Please contact me if you have questions or want to get involved in PTO, 713320-1077 or [email protected]. Together, we can do our part to support this
fantastic school and its goal of developing
students to their fullest potential in an environment permeated with Gospel values.
Romans 12:4-5
St. Vincent de Paul is just that, one body
with many members. All PTO events are
either fundraisers or community builders so
that we can come together and educate,
reward, or celebrate this one body of which
we have chosen to be a part.
Yours Truly-
I would like to thank the PTO Directors who
have already started planning their events
and services, and the many others who are
sharing their time and talents in supportive
roles. It takes countless volunteers and
boundless dedication to get it all done.
