Schurz High School is a candidate school for the Middle Years
and Diploma Programmes. This school is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. IB World Schools share a

important for our students.

Middle Years Programme
9th/10th Grade
The MYP consists of eight subject groups
integrated through unique global contexts for
learning. In their sophomore year, students will
undertake an independent personal
project to demonstrate the development of
their skills and understanding.


Illinois with more than 2,300 students.
The IB learner profile represents 10 attributes

11th/12th Grade
Students are highly encouraged to continue
their MYP studies in the Diploma
Programme. The DP uses a comprehensive
college preparatory curriculum where
students gain a valuable competitive edge
for admission to college.
