The Venue
Conference Registration (before Jan 16th)
The 21st International Symposium of the International
Society for Skiing Safety will be held in the Dolomites
of Cortina & San Vito di Cadore - Italy from 8th-13th
March 2015. The meeting will take place at the heart
of Cortina’s valley, under the 3264 mt. of “Antelao”
Peak, at the historical Hotel Park des Dolomites of
San Vito di Cadore.
San Vito di Cadore & Cortina d’Ampezzo will offer an
unforgettable winter experience for delegates and
their families as well as world class skiing in Cortina
Valley which is a unique ski resort in Italy.
The conference venue will be Hotel Park des
Dolomites (http://www.parkdesdolomites.it), built in
the early 1900 in Art Nouveau style.

The Conference will focus on all aspects of snow
sports safety including (but not limited to):

All participants will be invited to submit a full paper to
the scientific committee that will involve a blind
review process and published as ASTM special
technical publication within the Journal of ASTM
International.
The Congress will be organized in conjunction with
the 5th ISEA Winter School in Sports Engineering,
from 3rd March to 8th March 2015.

to 200 people and two
additional smaller rooms
for parallel sessions are
available, together with a
reception hall where
sponsors can place their
booths.

Registration fees will cover the Conference book of
abstracts, the participation to indoor and outdoor
sessions, coffee breaks, 2 days skipass, lunches and
final banquet. Travel and accommodation costs are
not included.
NOTE* Registration received after Jan 16th 2015 will
correspond to an additional cost of 50 €.

The Valley
Accommodation
The Conference will be held in San Vito di Cadore
(Italy), an alpine resort in the Dolomites, at 10 km
from Cortina d’Ampezzo (the so called “Queen of
Dolomites”) and 140 km from Venice.
The valley offers great possibilities for practicing
winter sports (skiing, snowboarding, cross-country or
touring skiing) in a unique
environment, rich of
culture and traditions.
Visitors can enjoy both
the silence of woods and
the
lively
shopping
streets of Cortina.
