brand exiting the indirect
channel
SPG has made the strategic decision to focus the Indirect Channel solely on the Boost brand. This opens the
way for doors to focus on a single brand, simplify the message and gear up for a strong 1Q15. To do this, we
will be sunsetting the Virgin Brand in our Indirect Channel. This will be done in a phased approach, starting in
Q4 and continuing into 2015. This change will have no impact on the Broadband2Go and payLo Brand in the
Indirect Channel beyond the removal of graphics for these brands on fixtures. Inventory will continue to be
available and the brands will be supported through non-fixture merchandising tactics.
We will continue to allow Dealers to activate Beyond Talk (BT) inventory, earn MRC Activation Bonus and
Residual compensation, and take customer payments for the Virgin Brand.
SPG will be working to lower the inventory levels in your doors, and eventually cease allocations on Beyond
Talk inventory. Going forward, new Virgin Devices will no longer launch in the Indirect Channel.
Merchandising Update
Phase 1 focuses on converting branded fixtures
from Virgin to Boost. Stores should work with their
local rep to determine the best time to convert
their fixtures. Here are the steps we will be taking to
prepare your stores for conversions.
Fixture inventory: SPG Field Team will survey
store fixtures (via store visit questions) to ensure
we have an accurate list of branded fixtures. This
information will be used to create customized
conversion kits that will ship direct to your doors.
Phase 2 consists of transitioning the remaining
collateral out of doors so that the focus is on
Boost completely. More information about this
phase to come in late 2014/early 2015.
Fixture conversions: Will be initiated by IAEs by
marking a new VM Transition field in IPOP (“Want”
or “Don’t need” – to be added to Merchandising
section in October).
»» Timing based upon level of Virgin inventory in
door (goal is close to depletion date).
»» Merchandising direct ships new Boost
graphics and conversion kit to the door -- list
of doors to ship to will be pulled weekly.
»» IAE visits store and provides paint thinner to
remove logos.

Effective October 12.
Phone Insurance for eligible Virgin
Mobile, Boost Mobile, and Sprint Prepaid
phones will be transitioning from Assurant
Solutions* to eSecuritel Holdings, LLC*.
Customers’ existing monthly premium,
coverage, and deductible schedule
will remain intact. Some aspects of the
program will change, including contact information for claims filing,
data protection features, claim limits and shipping cut off times for
fulfillment.
Key Changes:
»» myphoneguardian.com: All customers that enroll on or after
October 12 can file or track a claim 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
by visiting myphoneguardian.com or, they can call the below
Customer Care numbers 6 am (CT) – 11 pm (CT) and a Customer
Care Representative will help process their claim. Boost Mobile:
888-266-7848; Virgin Mobile: 888-322-1122; Sprint Prepaid: 855639-4644.
»» Higher per claim limit: The per claim limit is now $1,500,
including accessories.
»» New Time Cut Off for Sending in Replacements: Customers
who file and fulfill accepted claims by 11 pm CT on weekdays
can receive a replacement phone as early as the next morning.
Plus, Saturday claims accepted by 7:30 pm CT can be delivered
Monday morning. In most cases, your customers will not have to
go more than a day without their phone.
»» Gadget GuardianTM powered by Lookout: Customers can now
take advantage of a new mobile security app. Included with
their phone insurance program, Gadget Guardian** powered by
Lookout can locate and lock your smartphone in event of loss
or theft. The new app has the added features of virus/malware
protection and contacts backup.** To download the app go to
your provider on myphoneguardian.com and click on “Mobile
Security”.
»» Reminders: Beginning July 18, current Phone Insurance subscribers
began receiving text message notifications notifying them of the

It’s been brought to our attention that there are some concerns with the $40 price
point reference on the poster included with the Chivas Zone Kit. We knowingly

overarching message is about Chivas and Boost and that this is the message that
will speak to the customer as they look at the poster. Also note that the poster is

Boost Port-in Promotion Creative End Dates Updated on Ad Builder
