Dear Members,
I wanted to take a few minutes to update you on our recent and upcoming events for
your Southern California HCSC social club and allow you to block out the dates for the
events you would like to attend. We held our Partners Picnic on the 13th of September
and outside of a little warm weather all had a good time with lots of outstanding food,
beverages and socializing. Too bad we can’t control the weather yet, it’d make things
so much easier.
Anyway our next and final event of 2014 will be the Southern California HCSC Christmas
Luncheon which will once again be held at Portofino’s Ristorante in La Habra. The
event will be held on Saturday December 6th with sign-up and details following shortly.
Retired JC Penney management associate Nick D’Egidio will once again be our host and
he has promised the same wonderful food and atmosphere we have come to know and
expect from Portofinos’ so plan to join us.
The first event for 2015(hard to believe it’s almost here) will be our famous Spring Fling
in Palm Springs. We are putting the finishing touches on the event and will be sending
details out soon. The event is scheduled for Wednesday February 18th thru Friday
February 20th, 2015. For those needing accommodations we have worked out favorable
rates at the Hilton Palm Springs Resort. Those who stayed there last year were very
pleased with the new location and amenities so we will once again have our closing
brunch in one of their ballrooms. Our Thursday evening McCallum Theater
entertainment will be the world famous Vienna Boys Choir. This world-class ensemble
gives 80 concerts a year in North America so the timing is perfect for our Flagship event.
Please plan on joining us for a memorable evening that you will always remember. We
will send your invitations out as soon as everything is finalized and as always it will be a
great start to a new year with all your Penney friends.
As always please feel free to call me with any questions you might have and as always,
thank you for your support of our group and we look forward to seeing you at all our
events.
Sincerely,
Mark Schultz
President
