October 15 - Todd James will lead our Prayer & Praise meeting. The James family has been ministering in Ireland for over 28 years. Todd is the Irish Director for The Association of Church Sports and Recreation Ministries and he is the author and a developer of the evangelism tool, “Meet My Head Coach,” which was adapted and used by Coach John Wooden. As a part of Missions Month, the Alliance Friends Church Missions Committee is hosting hostin a Family Movie Night, Sunday evening, October 19, at 6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. We'll provide the popcorn and drinks and show two short kid-friendly kid movies about some missionaries who displayed amazing faith and obedience to conquer obstacles to sharing haring the gospel in other countries. In this way you can inspire your kids to look up to REAL LIFE HEROES and not just imaginary super heroes or all-too-human all sports figures. Plan now to take advantage of this unique opportunity to deepen and strengthen your y child's faith in our Amazing God! Pick up a Sunday School brochure from the Welcome Center to learn more about our nursery care and classes being offered. CHILDREN ARE ALSO INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE COSTUME CONTEST as a part of our Missions' Family Movie Night! They just need to dress like someone from one of the countries our missionaries are serving in. This includes inclu places like: Hong Kong, Jamaica, Haiti, China, Honduras, Romania, India, Nepal, Brazil, Russia, and Africa! Prizes from around the world will be awarded! This will be a fun and family friendly way to help our children learn more about the places that Friends' F Missions reach. Please consider providing a gift by choosing a tag off the bulletin board that will be displayed in the welcome center foyer on October 12 and 19. Each gift item should range from between $5-$10. $10. Choose a gift for a child or adult. Please return UNWRAPPED gifts by November 2 in the drop off box found in the welcome center foyer.
