JJ’s time at the State Department to find clues to her disappearance. What they uncover is a secret

INTREPID NZ
WEDNESDAY 15TH OCTOBER, 8.35PM
Kevin Biggar and Jamie Fitzgerald return with one of the most significant search and rescue operations
in New Zealand history in Intrepid NZ. This time taking on the mighty Tararua Ranges in the North
Island. In 1933, a group of four trampers was traversing the difficult Broxen Axe pinnacles when team
member Bert O’Keefe was injured. With the weather deteriorating, and an escape out of the mountains
looking unlikely, a massive search began.
This was New Zealand’s first use of radio and aircraft in such a search, commonly referred to as The
Sutch Search, after team member Bill Sutch (who, decades later, was accused and acquitted of selling
New Zealand secrets to the Soviet Union).
Kevin and Jamie negotiate the same terrain and weather to show you just how dangerous these
mountains can be.
DANGEROUS DOGS
WEDNESDAY 15TH OCTOBER, 9.30PM
Two-part series, Dangerous Dogs takes a graphic look at the dramatic rise in the number of dog attacks
in the UK.
During the making of the series three people in the UK were killed by dogs, and more than 6,000 people
were hospitalised after dog attacks last year.
The UK is thought to be a nation of dog lovers, but Dangerous Dogs reveals that there are underfed,
abandoned and un-socialised dogs in homes all across the UK.
The series explores what constitutes a dangerous dog and most importantly, what creates one? Looking
beyond the 'devil dog' headlines, the series explores whether the root cause of Britain’s dangerous dog
problem is actually just irresponsible owners?
By following dog wardens from across the UK on the front line, we see the very real danger they face
from both the dogs, and their owners.
