COURSE DESCRIPTION
Orthopaedics for Primary Care: The Spine and Hips
is the third in a series of Orthopaedics for Primary
Care conferences, focusing on different parts of the
musculoskeletal system. At this year’s program clinical
presentations of disease and injury will be presented, with
the focus on non-surgical treatments and therapies.
This course is aimed at physicians, nurse practitioners,
physician assistants and other health care professionals
involved in primary care.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of the activity, participants will be able to:
• Describe an overall approach to assessing spine and
hip conditions
• Identify and differentiate between various disease
states, such as arthritis and osteoporosis
