Maximum process reliability
The compact SCHUNK NSR maxi 220 robot coupling is the
clear favourite for heavyweight pallet handling. It transfers
torques of up to 4,000 Nm and can reliably handle pallets
weighing up to 1,000 kg (800 x 800 mm). Such high weights
are made possible by using a locking system with dual
stroke actuation developed by SCHUNK. The locking itself is
form-fitting and self-locking.
For reliable functionality in demanding environments,
it is completely sealed against chips and coolant. In addition, a standard cleaning function guarantees a chip-free
flat work surface between the pallet and robot coupling.
Locking and unlocking are monitored by a path measuring
system and the pallet presence is scanned with inductive
proximity switches for the process m
­ onitoring.
