Celebrating HR integration milestones
Scottsdale Lincoln Health Network
has made significant progress in the
direction of operating as a single
network thanks to the hard work
and dedication of employees, physicians and volunteers throughout the
organization.
In the coming months, we will be
celebrating some integration milestones in Human Resources. We

• Influenza (the flu) can be a serious disease that can
lead to hospitalization and sometimes even death.
Anyone can get very sick from the flu, including

you don’t feel sick.
• By getting vaccinated, you help protect yourself,
your family at home, and your patients.
Flu vaccine shots will be available at Employee Health
during normal business hours beginning Oct. 1. In addition, Employee Health will work with individual departments to administer flu shots upon request. Please

portal includes tools, information
and resources to help you make
simple lifestyle changes to maintain
or improve your health, no matter
where you are on your journey.

the 2015 Wellness incentive just by

with the portal, we encourage you to
participate in whatever manner will
help you enhance your overall wellbeing. The healthier we all are, the
better equipped we are to fulfill our
commitments to our community, our
families and ourselves. At this time,
the Wellness portal is only available to employees.

annual enrollment, be sure to visit

basis for the most up-to-date information to help you map out your
next steps on your health and wellness journey.

Did you quit smoking? Nicotine retest begins in October
Scottsdale Healthcare employees and spouses who have quit smoking since 2014 open enrollment will
have an opportunity to take a nicotine screening and qualify for the reduced health insurance premium for
2015. Scottsdale Healthcare employees who successfully passed the nicotine screening last year will not
have to retest.
Nicotine screening will begin on Sept. 29 and the last day to complete screening is Dec. 13, 2014
Appoitments will open up soon! Visit the Update website to schedule your screening appointment.

least 1 percent of their initial weight.
A total of 607 participants registered
for the four-week wellness challenge, and the collective goal was
to lose 1,055 lbs.

program kicked off the summer with
a company-wide weight loss challenge, Slim for the Summer. Employees signed up in teams based

of 1,805 lbs. Shea campus won the
