of configuring and managing an application as

Integrated DNS
Servers deployed on the cloud need to communicate
with each other or with the outside world. Flexiant
Concerto includes an interface to manage the Internet
domains and host names of your cloud infrastructure, all
completely independent from the cloud provider that the
individual servers are using. This is done automatically
upon virtual server creation. It means you no longer need
to set up your own DNS server.

DNS Geo-Localization and Load Balancing
Flexiant Concerto’s DNS geo-localization and load balancing
features allows end users to access your customers’ website
with the least latency possible by being directed to the
server nearest to their geographical location. Configuring
more than one virtual server with the same DNS record will
make Flexiant Concerto round-robin over the set of active
servers nearest to the user in order to respond.
This also enables:

workload distribution (scaling out)

redundancy
•
fault tolerance (a server can be removed from the DNS
when it goes down)

Application Performance Monitoring
New Relic’s SaaS application monitoring tool is tightly
integrated with the Flexiant Concerto platform and interface,
offering a unified, single pane of glass enabling optimal
application monitoring. The integration enables application
aware autoscaling.
Network Load Balancing
Flexiant Concerto’s integrated multi-tenant layer-4 network
load balancer can easily be configured within the definition
of a server array. With a server array, an end user defines a
pool of servers. Flexiant Concerto will automatically distribute
workloads and identify non-responsive servers based on regular
health checks. Non-responsive servers can be automatically
removed from the pool. The Flexiant Concerto load balancer
can support SSL termination, thereby offloading the heavy
lifting of handling encryption from your application server.
Network Monitoring
Boundary’s real-time flow analytics enables you to identify
potential hot spots and bottlenecks for traffic between all the
services you deploy in the cloud. It combines early warnings
for latency and outages as well as configuration and security
issue detection, with rapid resolution of any identified issues.
Application Aware Auto-scaling
Traditional infrastructure resource-based auto-scaling (such
as CPU or memory based) is limited in its usefulness as they
are too low in the stack to be a reliable representation of the
user experience. Flexiant Concerto application-aware autoscaling reallocates resources based on the responsiveness of
the application itself.
A server array can be configured in Flexiant Concerto to
automatically scale up or down by adding or removing
virtual servers, based on Apdex values. Apdex is a standard
metric for measuring the performance of an application. As
a result, your customer’s infrastructure will be scaled only
when real user experience is affected.
Log Analysis
With Sumo Logic, we offer highly scalable log management
and analytics. Your cloud based machines’ log data is
monitored, analyzed and visualized, enabling most common
trend detection and troubleshooting on your applications and
operational infrastructure. It allows you to provide proactive
maintenance and ensure service availability.
Integrated Services
Business Intelligence
To maximize the functionality that Flexiant Concerto can offer,
we have integrated with a number of best of breed software
as a service (SaaS) partners. This integration includes the
automatic installation of the agent upon virtual server creation,
account registration, single sign-on and service configuration.
Mixpanel gives service providers business intelligence
visibility over how their users are using Flexiant Concerto. This
includes monitoring which particular cloud provider, features
and functions are used the most, as well as promotional
activity and marketing campaign tracking.
Real-time data on server activity is sent to the partner’s SaaS
application via API calls. This data is processed by the partner
application and the resulting reports are displayed in the
Flexiant Concerto interface.
